Fountek 89's, do it.I may be pimping another pair myself soon *hopes*

You couldn't afford the repair bills. And a chick car Test drive will make you not want it. I'd drive a turbo if it is joy ride time. Honestly it was just the name and price that caught my eye. I do agree it is a chick-ish car, but with balls like these I am secure enough to drive something like that. I am just browsing some random automotive sites for cheap used rides that could still be fun to drive to work. As for the 'auto' thing, sorry just not a fan of stick when 1/2 your commute is in bumper to bumper interstate traffic thru down town. Just a recipe for burning out clutches quickly. Now the ride home? At that point I'd love the a nice fast 6 speed but no dice. J The real problem is that is a gutless, mechanical turd that most people find not so attractive. Pretend that Cadillac so a Geo Metro with no modifications other than leather seats, a new leather covered dash and called it a Cadillac Ville

pc or head unit

Personally I was going to run a carpc if you asked me even 3 months ago. It's for my next car which I'll get in December, but at this point there is no way I am running a carpc. Processing power was something that nearly made me run both a PC and an Android, but at this point it'll all be just a rather hacked tablet. I'll give you one hint, GPS is fucking TERRIBLE on a pc. -

THis. You answers so far say that ANY headunit controlled processor will solve them. It'd be seriously stupid to bother with a car pc for that. If there was some processing you wanted to do that was rather unorthodox for a reason of course that goes out the window, but the power of something like an H701 I would be way eclipses what you need or could even utilize completely. Large learnging curve with processing and you would have been specific (or will be soon) over what you need otherwise it will just be a fuck show to integrate. -

Ha, wouldn't call those tutorials. ALL the information necessary is there but holy fucking headache to find. -
would that be for the speakers or the crossovers? and how come? They only work on axis. Designed that way. In audio everything is a compromise. I chose to completely compromise listening position to greatly simplify my setup. Considering it is my office and there is only 1 chair it seems like it would be stupid to do anything else My system is unrelated to your needs. Didn't mean to bring it up, but the analogy of how to spend the budget is spot on even for your situation IF you are willing to of course build your own enclosures/crossovers. EXPECT crossovers to be similar in price to the drivers you use. It will help you search through different diy designs that are available and posted all over. Definitely worth starting with a known and tweaking than starting over for a first build. Personally I'd let what is available determine my budget a bit, but that is me. Definitely makes a difference if wood/glue/etc is included in the pricing though.
-
That is all unrelated. If you can turn your gain up further then if you are already clipping that is a USER problem, not a system problem. Only reason then it is clipping is that you have chosen to run the gains too hot. Engine noise is NOT the noise you should be concerned with if your gain is set high. That noise would be thermal and is mostly 1/f noise. A line driver in your case would be a SERIOUS waste of money. First step is fix your grounds. They are jacked.
-
To put things in perspective that is about the budget I had for my office. For their I decided I couldn't even afford a tweeter so I am running full rangers. Actually wasn't the drivers that ate the budget, but the crossovers. Usually at least the price of the drivers goes into crossovers. In the case of exotic cone FR's like I have it was actually more in the crossovers by a large margin. They'd be terrible for home theater though...unless it was a one seat theater.

If u had a bit bigger budget what would u get?Touche. I'd still build. *perhaps something off CL, but most likely not as I'd get impatient

Interesting. Would "match" my pants. Motofist & Klim both make military stuff. Breathable is king. Very curious what you have

Scan D2904 or Seas Neo are about your only choices. Outside of weird I-boutique brands which have popped some XBL tweets out. Hot dang and the D2904 is kind of unavailable new. Guess I'll have to settle for the Seas Neo and try out mach 5 vs extremis, see which is better above 1k. I didn't mean to discredit the neo options. I just haven't played with them.

I have a 2XL Tall Columbia titanium shell that is yours if you want it. Waterproof and made for layering. Thanks but I think the 2XL part may be a bit tough on a 35" waist.

For that budget I'd definitely build which throws out Black Friday pretty much.

Definitely overnight

Comes in a tall http://www.cabelas.com/product/Cabelas-GORE-TEX-Bass-Angler-Guidewear-Jacket-Regular/1547994.uts?Ntk=AllProducts&searchPath=%2Fcatalog%2Fsearch%2F%3FN%3D5100829%26Ne%3D5100829%26No%3D80%26Ntk%3DAllProducts%26Ntt%3Dgoretex%26Ntx%3Dmode%252Bmatchallpartial%26WTz_l%3DHeader%253BSearch-All%2BProducts%26WTz_st%3D%26WTz_stype%3DSP%26form_state%3DsearchForm%26recordsPerPage%3D80%26search%3Dgoretex%26searchTypeByFilter%3DAllProducts%26x%3D-817%26y%3D-51&Ntt=goretex&WTz_l=Header%3BSearch-All+Products would assume that it is made for conditions down to 40F running at 80mph on water. Seems to me that means windproof. Sort of wimpy on the abrasion portion though perhaps and the fucking hood would have to go, lol

My whole life I've avoided trying on an Arc'teryx jacket for fear they'd fit. I may have found a reason to try.
-
Going to replace everything. Shell, midlayer, base layer. Thank god Motofist makes some pants in a tall that work.
-
WINDPROOF, breathable and waterproof are the key.
-
Need a new snowmobile jacket. No one currently in the sled industry makes a Goretex or eVent fabric jacket in a tall. Any idea of brands that may be for other purposes I could potentially use? ie, most likely ice climbing, cross country skiing/winter biking, ski/snowboarding or the like.

Oh yeah.. you suck and eff off. You can surely play with it. Frickin' beast with the 17-55 2.8 on it. Would like your 70-200 2.8 I think

Actually a ton, was being ridiculous though. Things like seeing how many raw I could burst before the buffer ran out. Testing different focus patterns shooting at 7fps. And of course doing some ISO noise testing. Pulled some cute video along with a bunch of good pictures, just a lot of practice
