No. Mine are barely longer than normal.

Must have been the area. Texas pretty much has the cheapest cost of living. What's crazy to me is people buying one bedroom places in Boston for 850kOne bedroom place on our bay sold for $900k with only 40' of lake front and a 100' deep lot. ie, you can't build on it... And it was a dump.

Yes, was good but I am not ecstatic about it. Amusingly ate at Tilia last week in Linden Hills which was similar in quality and related somehow. Don't remember if is owners, investors, chef or what.

Exactly why I want to try it. And on the slim chance I like it.Exactly why now I am like Neal. Driven a few carts for my friends in the past years, but don't pick up the clubs. I don't need another summer bug.

I used to golf. Moving to Chicago out of college screwed me up as I stopped fishing and chose another pursuit. When I moved back I picked up a fishing rod and haven't hardly bothered to swing a club since. Only do it when it could potentially help business.

why buy new when used will doAbsolutely. Just wondering if clubs make for nuance that is subtle and a set of $300 lowballed cheepos will do, or if sniping great deals and building a set of 1000 bucks in clubs would make that game more enjoyable. No matter what you buy the wrong ones first, buy the ones that you can resell. No amount of dough spent on clubs will make you better if that is what you are asking. Practice of course will. And yes, I fucking hate golf. Don't get it. Boring as fuck. Good if you are an alcoholic, but I can think of 1000 other things I'd rather do when the weather is nice and I sure the fuck ain't playing when it is not.

No. Your ears are pretty good clip indicators. Train them and use them.

It went exactly where it needed to go, you finally understand the situation. Wouldn't call that circles. Any other circling is due only to yourself. Still need to pick your compromise. Either output or FR. Nice clear sound up front at high levels SCREAMS horns. Budget is okay, if you buy them used. Going to need some processing to dial them in but that is do-able. Going to have a midbass gap, but that you seem to be okay with.

I got three raises without asking, and was then asked if I wanted to be manager. You asked...by trying. Verbally would even be more effective.

you will never buy new, so that shouldn't be an issue. Recalls should take care of any issues before you buy.I won't buy a used first year either.
-
I will never, ever own a first model year of anything. Ugh. http://wallstcheatsheet.com/stocks/pickup-recall-bad-news-for-gm-good-news-for-ford.html/?ref=YF I am sure there is more to follow as well. The governments stupid fucking regulations are going to make shit like this happen more and more and more.

Then you need at least a 4 source pre-amp. If it were only your PC then you would just need an amp... I'd start shopping CL for something. Not sure where in Canuckistan you are and what is available, but that depends a ton on your city. Personally I'd prefer to find an older pre-amp and amp combo than an integrated unit. Should still come in less than the HK

And again, you NEVER get anything you don't ask for. Curious if you've asked.

Ding, ding, ding. Those are pretty beefy subs too. Now at least you understand when I say get ready to spend MORE on your front stage if you want it to "keep up". You HAVE to compromise, the question is how much. Obviously doing 160dB of midbass is never necessary, but neither is that at 40Hz. All is in the choices you make.
-
Do you need ANY HDMI inputs? It is two channel so NO processing is needed. How many sources do you have and what are they? I have a few 2 chn setups in my house and a couple 2.1's. None of them use a receiver. Just an amplifier and a volume knob. Everything else in the signal chain just creates a mess. Here is another perspective. Take a wild guess what that receiver you just linked will be worth in 1 year, in 5 years and in 10 years. Now realize it has NO processing or inputs that you really need that a 10 year old unit didn't. Now take the budget you applied for that and buy a 10 year old unit. What do you think is better?
-
Here I will help with the perspective. 4 18's on 10k will yield xdB at 50Hz. If you want your midbass to "keep up" it will also need to tickle the same x dB at 100Hz (assuming you roll your subs off before then). Go ahead and model an 8 and see how many you'd need to come to the same level as the 18's with what power. Yes, it'll make you realize how absurd your budget is and put into context the compromises I was inferring.

Effort and midbass questions still pertain. Just an FYI, 80prs and FR'ers isn't really a good mix. The HP channel doesn't go low enough. (this is only an IIRC as I haven't owned or played with an 80, but it is for sure on the 880 for which IIRC had the same HP options). I would also say it isn't the greatest h/u for horns. Taming a horn I really prefer the flexibility of an adjustable parametric eq.

Have you asked?

Hey now, the title is in present tense

Psycho-acoustics are a bitch. Just don't ask the idiots that over pay for mediocre shit and then claim it is the greatest thing ever because they heard a change.
-
In reality, net would be better but they will never figure that one out. Instead they pick a whacky number. The actual percentage I have seen float either direction a few percent, but figure on the ugly side and no troubles.

Or pull some magic.

That is a problem. Need to have a renter for 6 months before you buy...that's what my neighbor across the street had to do. Figured it was just his income. I was hoping my income would suffice. If your Debt to Income is under 54% after the new purchase INCLUDING paying for your old house and cars AND you have 20% down it'll be no problem. Otherwise you are going to have to wait.
