You pick or Sort of 6 or half dozen to me...

Saw one for sale with a Coyote. I'd just build what is in there.
-
Needs a coyote swap, but that isn't so hard

I have spent hours and hours looking it up. They aren't so much more expensive to fix than domestic. 2.5K for a new clutch etc on the M5.The M3 is nearly the most reliable vehicle made by BMW and the V8 is cheeper than the outgoing 6 to fix. My car cost less than the clutch on the M5, so it's quite a bit more than any domestic. The M3 has had a V8 since '08. And the V8 is not cheaper than the 6. WAY not. When I called a shop, the cost of the outgoing v6 was more than the V8. I was shocked about that too. Hence why I called. called the wrong shop

Speaking of bad interiors. Sucks too, because as a temporary solution until a car I want comes available this could make a great second vehicle for towing and such.

Most domestic clutch jobs come in at under $700 The rack I did on that M3 cost the man $3K... and it was my service manager's best friend. If you buy a Euro it costs a ton more to fix than a domestic or Asian... and yes, my current shop does a lot of Euro (particularly BMW and VW/Audi) so I know this for a fact. Pre-95 I6 BM'ers were as cheap if not cheaper than domestics. From what I've seen Honda parts are as bad as BMW...but of course I am excluding M's and other exotic germanic cars

Damnit. I never should have driven the new Cayenne.

And Ryan, now I am being a woman. Seriously in my garage contemplating how cheap of a DD I could drive if my "main" car were a DB9
-
And this is LESS money and will fucking destroy the ass-flapper Find it for 30K? I'm in then. The guy that works for me paid $34k for his with less than 4,000 milesWHAT? Interior garbage? How so cheep, WTF... Smallest motor, first year. A nice Q1 should go for $45

Parts aren't "that" bad for it either. Almost the same as my Benz it seems

Was flat out told no i couldn't drive the 599 today.

Looks like the steering linkage on the 8 series makes it tough to do the LS swap.
-
My memory says there was more legroom behind the driver than in the newer ones. Of course I didn't need it EVERY day then.

Contemplating an E39 M5 as well

I don't want to fix either of those bimmmers
