    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

I thought you meant you bled the brakes and then they were stuck on. I don't get it.

Civic brakes locked up? Even after releasing the brake?

Has to be air in the system I suppose though since it still doesn't pull fluid. Pulls some fluid.

I am feeling stupid atm. In the end I pulled a shitload of air out. Probably 20 minutes with the mityvac. And it is a cheap POS. Won't stay sealed sitting in a room, more or less attached. Otherwise I would have just let it suck.

Can air in the caliper really cause that? http://www.hardcoresledder.com/forums/354-440-race-modified/440352-brake-problems.html I can't quite wrap my head around how something compressible can stay compressed with no external force.

Guess I am glad this wasn't on my car....which I will do this spring. I've always only bled by doing the two person thing. Read that doesn't work on the sled due to the caliper design and vent hole location.

Led myself right into another first. If it weren't for this, the sled would be ready for an engine. Had the brake disk off. Someone pressed the brake lever while it was off. Either me, my kids, one of my friends Took off the caliper to press the pistons back in and re-route the brake cable. Filled the master cylinder with fresh Dot 3 and proceeded to bleed. Every turn gave me fluid not air. Entrance and exit are about on the same level. Grabbed the mityvac and started sucking. Pump, pull lever & hold, open valve until vac subsides and then repeat. When close I put master cyl cover back on. With SUPER firm pressure I could tickle the bars. Tested them a bunch of times. Included pumping them. Then set the ebrake and proceeded to attach a gear that needed torque to the shaft the disk is on. Tighten bolt. Release brake. And the brakes won't release. Seriously wtf? I quit working on that and polished off the rest of the list. I have no idea what I did. ...or didn't do.

Seth wow. I used to think we shared a lot of tastes. No really, Bell's does NOT make a good IPA. Great brewery in general, but not for pales. Strong suit is making big beers not have the bad aspects of tasting big. Amber is delicious as well. I used to be big into stouts, but pretty much drink PA's now, lol.

well if it takes you as long to find a house as it does a car............... Ha, I've been looking since 07. When I bought this house I had been through more than 300 looking. I am pretty sure I've topped that now.

    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

Didn't you just finish your kitchen last year?I did the floor, as cheap as possible and yes it'd get ripped out, lol We finished the house to sell. Going to switch from lake front looking since they jumped $400k in the past year and look for other deeded houses. If we can't find something with a better layout, neighborhood, lake front than hours for under $1M I'll have no problems spending $200k to really fix mine.

Thinking of gutting my kitchen as well. If we don't find a place we like, I am remodeling the whole house.

  21. 4 chn allows more flexibility: 2 chn's bridge to comps 2chn's on comps, 2chn bridged to sub 2chn tweet, 2chn mid 2chn can work if you never do anything but the comp set.
  22. It all comes down to your "keep up". My definition is what the subs do at 40Hz the mids should do at 80Hz or somewhere around there taking into account a little roll off for the equal loudness contour. For what you have for sub-bass though using my definition will take a shit ton of space and money.
  23. Properly and 3 is tough. And by keep up, knowing the frequency they need to play to would help. Also a huge difference between a radio shack coaxial and an ex anarchy
