i don't have enough wall space
-
I would, but that doesn't mean you will like it. I don't use a mouse for anything and Win8 is snappier across the board for that and easier to negotiate with a keyboard. I really don't use the Win8 stuff at all though. The metro apps are so slow they are pointless.

I just threw away a pair of old school titanium domes. Had no idea anyone would ever want them.

It isn't about tall, but rider forward. Notice my IQr, there isn't a more rider forward sled on the market. It is WAY further than any consumer sled. Really allows you to get weight on the skis when you need to and on the track when you don't. I LOVE sleds that require an active rider. Rolling mine onto its side boondocking is way easier than in the ass draggers as well. I will never, never, ever, never own another low sled. Absolute horseshit for everything except super tight twisties if you want to relax and let the sled do the work. As far as deep powder riding the last place you want your weight is over the ski's. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=DH-cLFcokgQ You need a ride a modern sled, you will change your mind. I assume you've heard the term wrong foot forward? The whole goal when side hilling is to get forward...

Since when, wow. I asked a Win8 specialist at Best Buy maybe 3 weeks ago and he said no.

You just disrupted the fabric of truth that holds the internet together. The car audio world will never be the same.

I can't tell you how bad I want that

Which would GUARANTEE me a car pc if Win 8 pc would fucking run google maps with nav.

It is the same effort to me as 7, but faster. Seems to be a bonus IMO. Boot times in under 3 seconds rock.

This makes NO SENSE. Pay $600 for a set of components where the actual drivers themselves would be around $20 each and then run them active. Even worse when they aren't optimized at all for your mounting locations (most likely). Seems to me you'd be better off saving the extra dough and just buying the drivers raw.

Took the w's out for a quick rip earlier which was the first time since I broke it besides in the yard. New track has it pulling its skis like a champ. Hooks up hard. Frickin' love it. Going on a night ride tonight when the kiddos go to bed. Tomorrow I hope to get a chance to break in the IQR engine. Have to trailer to do that though as I can't move it until it's warm and once warm I want to rip right away to seat the rings. I know where to take it though

Shockingly, my sled didn't start when I first tried. Saw gas move into the filter, then checked spark - none. Rechecked safety tether, pulled and BAM first pull. *I had forgotten to tighten one fitting on the gas line though. Quick adjustment and riptastic.

Ski stance is a bit wide for mt riding, but there is also the potential of renting.
-
Mine is also long enough now to hide a 151 which I can do with some rail extensions if I ever go west. Would take me less than 2 hours to convert it each way.

Mine still has a "short" track. I only went to a 136". Any longer and it isn't as mobile nor as fun in the air. Our conditions are different than yours though as I don't break fresh ground all that often. Probably less than 10% of my riding. I do it when I see an opportunity, but groomed or pre-ridden ditches is more the norm.

Damn, I don't want to do jack but ride.

I have a bigger windshield, but it is also only cosmetic. Keeps snow out of the intake path a bit too. That hood came with one riveted on and I was sick of drilling out rivets so I left it for now. Other hood

You can see the colors better here where the higher dynamic range wasn't needed. And yes my garage is a fucking mess, but that is what happens in project mode for me. CLeaning it today!

With a better camera there is a lot more detail. Hood is metal flake black. Plastics are black plastic. Everything aluminum besides the tunnel is either black or white. Very small red highlights: brake light, rear reflector, stitching in the seat, Polaris Racing logo on the flap, and the trail sticker. I like things clean and debadged.

Playing around with some new toys... Training my ears?
///M5 replied to altoncustomtech's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
Midbass enclosure design isn't terribly different from sub box design. And yes you'll gain output, just a pain in the ass. -
I'd start with finding the biggest reputable 4chn (bridgeable) that you can find cheap. It'd help to know mounting locations. After that work on an install deadening plan and see what is leftover. $100 proc and $50 worth of speakers will outdo $150 in a comp set unless you find a used gem.

You don't want Revelator's off the shelf in your car. That wasn't my comment nor the point. When you search both though the lightbulb will fire
-
And even the Mille's have a cheap, non-optimized crossover. First rule in crossover design is to measure in situ, conveniently by default running active forces that to occur while allowing you to do all the measurements with your ears. Choosing drivers optimized for location and response will always have the potential to destroy ones of much higher quality with an inappropriate crossover. And if you take that same budget and apply it you can even get into somewhat exotic drivers which in the right hands are really awesome. Price the F1 and the Scan Revelator and it puts things in perspective. Not that the Mille isn't a nice set, I like the way they sound better than the comparable Focal set.

You can see we need some bad. That is shot at the top of my driveway about 20' from the garage.
