  1. Volume on the 80prs is completely dependent on your amplifier, not the headunit. Exactly why there is gain setting. Personally I'd set it up so that at 62 it is seriously clipped on a 0dB recording. Won't be a "safe" setting but you have ears so using them is a good idea.

    just bought new head unit

So many processing options it isn't all that big of a deal. Considering some of the old Eclipses are pennies on the $ I wouldn't worry so much. Processing is getting easier to supply, not harder Still it is a fantastic headunit.

If it makes you feel any better, by my 3rd sit up my stomach muscles shake from over exertion. Hernia surgery wiped me out, had no idea that I was avoiding using those muscles so much.I feel for you though, never understood being in a state like that before and now will do everything I can to avoid it again. Try this. Much better for the spine and neck than sit ups. http://www.runningandcupcakes.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/DRILL-flutter-kick_thumb.png J By sit ups I meant crunches on an exercise ball
  9. http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/Amplifiers/GM+Digital+Series/GM-D8604 http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_63974_Pioneer-GM-D8604.html Would it makes sense to still go with the ppi900.4 if he will be using the crossover features from his Pioneer 80PRS head unit, could he just save some bucks and run the Pioneer GM-D8604 above? Sometime around the mid-90's Pioneer lost me permanently on their amps. Doesn't mean anything though, but the sour taste in my mouth still exists. Compounded by being hard to recommend an amp that I personally have no experience with. I haven't actually used a PPI 900.4 either, but have 3 of the Polk versions of exactly the same amp. And personally, I'd never use ANY crossover on an amplifier. Makes tuning a complete fuckshow. The exception of course being an SSF as unless you have an offboard proc you are almost reduced to having no choice. So, Pio might be fine. Long term resale I'd doubt in comparison though. To me cost is always buying price - selling price which I'd bet wins for the PPI. In particular if a used copy were purchased.
  10. That and it is also just seriously not natural. Of course, I mostly listen to live jazz but even with other genres it is seriously confusing to me to have music coming from the rear. I've never run sound at a show where that was a desired trait. Sure, the venue I mixed at had some nasty reflections, but I spent time and company money deadening the reflections and doing everything I could with eq to help the stage, not hurt it. I also understand that your fronts are currently lackluster and are missing portions of the spectra that you want. Let's help you address those and then you will really never want rears again.

Giving the bar $120 for $120 is a lot cheaper than a promise of a couple hundred dollar tab after every game. MK wants even less of a commitment. Your reality is perhaps more normal as what bar wouldn't do that, but he just doesn't want to pay a fee which of course no business wants to do. I offered up a minimal guarantee to get. And as I said, I'd rather have to spend $120 on a bar tab than throw it away. Having someone give it to me free is of course better.

Go to them with a total cost. Ask them if they would be interested in sponsoring a softball team for the bar, and providing shitprts (with their name/catch phrase on them. In turn, the team will go in there after each game, and if you go to the championship and win a big party there afterwards. They will get to keep the trophy there as they paid for it. In NY bar's sponsor all the softball, pool, and darts teams. Its a great way to make back the investment quickly, and if you figure 15 guys at 20 a pop thats 300 and the 120 fee and 420 is the total. Just in 'word of mouth' advertising, and guys buying beers afterwards they make that money back in spades. I've done this pitch for a few wrestling shows and have only been turned down once. J Which is paying them more than my worst case scenario.

How is the e-brake setup on Wilwoods? Is it the inner drum style on the rear hubs?No idea...so I assume it works as stock since it was a kit made exactly for my truck. I've assumed incorrectly before.

Is that a gif from a real video? New TV series on FX: Fargo. It's pretty good. Watched the first one, forgot to continue. Sort of funny since it is my hometown.
  16. The not as full with just fronts is highlighting the install issue. First step is to fix that. IF you want to learn about deadening go here: http://www.sounddeadenershowdown.com/ As for your bookshelf comment, good ones don't have a bunch of speakers. Marketing departments, not engineers add them to shitty ones. Heck the ones in my office don't even have a tweeter and unless you have some real money in cans they sound better than headphones. Inteference can be constructive and destructive. It will create all sorts of pits and mountains in your frequency response. WAY worse in a car as well with all the reflective and strange spaces.

Just ask. If he says no, then say Hey, you pay the $120 and we'll give you $120 BUT give us $120 in bar credit for after our first game. He'll definitely say yes to that. I don't get it. Thats just us paying for it and him giving us bar credit. We don't have to have a real sponsor, we just don't want to fork over $120 on top of $20 per player. Obviously he can't say no. Only difference is you aren't paying a fee, but paying for something you'd drink anyways. I'd personally rather have $120 in free drinks than not. Wasn't saying as a first approach, but a second. First ask for them to just sponsor.

That's incredible! Little shit requested what he ate in a 5 star restaurant in New Orleans too. Sea Bass with a Lemon sauce, Green beans, and Gratin potatoes. Wanted it exact. Should have seen him beaming when I pulled it off.
