Apply. The rest comes down to negotiation. Even if they offer you the job you don't have to take it, doesn't hurt to apply. 60-75% is a lot however and should come with a significant pay increase. Time is something you can't replace. Obviously internally they will try to sell that part short, but if you are truly gone on average 3-4 nights a week it should be a 50% increase in pay (including benefits) IMO.

Tons of better options and the Crescendo's would be going in the opposite direction. The PWX 6.5 is actual somewhat useless as a driver. Has no midbass and stinks at midrange. Don't quite understand why it is even made and even more confusing anyone buys it.

Big difference if you are running them passive or active. Could have spent $30 on a set of DIY drivers and out done them...but only with competent tuning. The install makes the difference WAY more than the drivers so it isn't like those won't work, but if you are going to run active and have the opportunity to return them before using them I would. Good to start with a comp set for learning if you haven't run active, but buy something used that you won't care if you pop as that isn't so hard to do first time out.

    Hertz hi energy component set?

With an 80prs and in good hands these could trump the Hertz set uber easy. http://www.parts-express.com/grs-6pr-8-6-1-2-poly-cone-rubber-surround-woofer--292-426 http://www.parts-express.com/dayton-audio-nd20fa-6-3-4-neodymium-dome-tweeter--275-030 Not that I'd buy those, but the question is almost ridiculous. The Hertz set comes with a $5 woofer and tweeter, same with the Focal. Add to that they come with a super shitty crossover and it is really somewhat pointless. Car audio sets are a joke. The Blues set epitomizes that joke if you want to throw money out the window. If an 80prs is your processing, 3 way really isn't in the cards. Also way harder to tune and succeed. Starting with something destined for success is a better idea. I'd first pay attention to your installation locations, then I'd listen to different speaker setups and determine your preference and then finally I'd start shopping for drivers.

Wait? Why buy a component set when you are running in Network mode? MUCH better off with some DIY drivers...

    More power for mids?

Can't comment without knowing more about how the drivers are installed. $100 buys a lot of stuff to improve the install.

    Hertz hi energy component set?

Did YOU like them? Isn't that what matters? Opinions of course mean a lot. The Polyglas set referenced above sounds awful to me...but I haven't heard the High Energy's installed. Setup will be the limitation not the drivers. Of course, even uber cheap compared to a DIY set they will be lackluster.

    Might Finally Install A Stereo...

Sweet, making me feel lazy that I haven't put something in the truck yet. Looks great so far. Same plane -> equal distant motors to the ear prevents the need for t/a, synergistic aiming simplifies interference between the drivers, looks more balanced to the eye, easier to install/aim a single baffle, simple to setup vertical, allows for closest spacing between drivers allowing more flexibility in the crossover point. Lots of ways to skin the cat, but some combination of the above are hints. Obviously depending on aiming some of them go away.

    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

Interesting. My experience was quite the opposite. I switched back when it was Cingular. AT&Ts reception at my house is perfect, most other carriers you have to go outside. Even overseas I have no issues. I rarely have no service, and customer service has been exemplary. It is nice to speak with someone on the phone who speaks English as a first language. Over seas Verizon sucks donkey dick. CDMA garbage. Give me GSM damnit. I am carrying 2 phones right now for that reason.

No, but if you can live with 3G speeds on everything Page Plus uses Verizon towers and is CHEAP. You do buy your own hardware, but that is rather easy on Swappa or CL.

Q in laymens terms is width and slope. Being that equipment is for anomalies theyvwill determine what you change. As for the crossover question. Can't do much until you get rid of the garbage ft1s, but trying a bit harder willvhelp

your assumption is terribly wrong. Para lets youbadjust the q which determine the"width" of the eq'd bandHe had it correct in laymen's terms.or he had it opposite. Depends on the need and thwtvis exactly why para is more flexible

    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

Fuck. 4 minutes to boarding. Time to get HUGE
  22. Hard to get to isn't a reason to accept a crappy tune. Spend some more time fixing it up front and you won't need to. That offboard eq is somewhat useless. All this being said. A $2000 set of components just screwed into the stock locations can be WAY out performed by a $50 set of used comps when they are installed correctly. Flush may not be what you want, that isn't clear. What you want is a baffle, isolation, and separation of the front/back wave. Until you do that no matter what gear you have it will sound lackluster. As for the sub, it is BY FAR the easiest portion of the spectrum to reproduce. BY FAR. Focusing on making the rest sound good is definitely a good idea as bang for the buck that time will pay off the most.

Spend two minutes modeling it under power in WinISD and you will know your trade-offs.

IMO the 80/88prs has one thing for novice tuners that no other headunit has and that is L/R independent eq. HUGE for tuning. Also, most decks have parametric which in reality are more effective when utilized correctly but way harder to use so it really gives the prs a monstrous edge for first time active IMO. Only thing better is a processor that can be controlled by a touch screen in the dash. When new you MUST have tuning up front and access to it at all times. Really shortens the learning curve which is far from trivial.
