I don't see that as anywhere near a competitor to the Atom. Maybe light weight, but that's about it. Oh right, probably street legal in CA.
-
They are in pods? I thought doors, I'd inspect the pods and see if you can vent them into the fenders as well. Could be squashing your midbass by cramping the drivers.

Hmmm, Ariel Atom now has a low buck competitor. Ok, not now but on July 27th. http://jalopnik.com/polaris-slingshot-is-this-it-1601458879 It may not look anything like that pic though....

Your Xcon will definitely overpower your front stage...get used to it. SUPER easy to make bass, not so easy to make midbass. They are great IB. Wasn't an absolute suggestion, just a driver for you to start looking for things that make sense. Beware on sensitivity and power handling ratings as you are currently comparing an apple to an orange.

I never lose that game Lol Yesterday I got there early and just handed my card over right away. Boomskies. Over before the battle happened. Sun Tzu I am not sharing my tricks. Good you handed it over though as that way your boss knew before ordering. I would always order WAY cheaper if I knew someone else was paying.

If your car was completely symmetric the response should be as well.

Ah, CAN. PAC-SWI will work too and then there is no dicking around. That is what I am going to do. Less cutting of stock wiring in particular wires connected to a bus is a good idea IMO. I was at TRW and specifically asked if they implemented the CAN in the wheel or post wheel on my car...they couldn't answer, lol. seems pac swi rc will take care of it then. whats another $40 at this point... Yep, better than hacking for that dough.

You misread that completely. I don't like it because I am the same way...

I know. I would grab the tab if we went out too. Fun nights like that come from the discretionary cash reserve. :-) I don't like tab grabbers....but I am sure you feel the same way. No need to "buy" my friendship Not that it isn't mutual.

Damnit, missed that by a post.

What you have issues with may be your car and not your drivers. It is unusual to need to have the drivers side driver louder than the passengers. Sound falls off to the square of the distance away so the further one away should be louder. Since this isn't the case either there is something wrong with your headunit, your amp, or something physical in your car. This is why I asked you to swap seats. If it is physical with your car then it'll happen on new drivers as well. The first step I'd do is try to eq it out. If you know the frequency and have an eq that is independent L/R you can try this. Of course if you don't have a Pioneer 80/88prs or off board processor you won't have that capability. Pretty cool you actually heard this though as most people flat out don't and that makes it rather hard to explain why an independent l/r eq is important. I can't imagine not having one. Does the perceived volume stay the same whether they are played each on their own or together? If it is strange only while together then try to flip the phase (rev +/-) of one of the two drivers. Considering your issue in the midrange I'd look for a naturally easy driver to eq. ie, one without breakup modes. The easiest way for a manufacturer to achieve this would be with a non-exotic cone like paper. The Seas CA18rnx is a hell of a driver for a first installation for this reason. It is SUPER easy to eq and can play nice nearly up to 4kHz. Rolls off so easily most could get away without BP it even. There are other drivers that can work as well, but that one would improve both your midrange and your midbass.

Sealed Trunk Tips... First time, any help appreciated
///M5 replied to dharris2488's topic in Technical Info & How To's
No way to make it dead, can surely effect the Q though which is all that is necessary. Just focus on the right locations which J pointed out can be somewhat self evident. Not sure what you have for eq, but I'd compare tapering it to my desires.- 106 replies

Dutch would have been less painful. Either way I am jealous. I ate at Chipotle last night. It is really fucking horrible. In a tough spot the next two weeks. Aidan has swimming less from 5:45-6:15 and Tanner at 7. Makes dinner not so easy. Last nights was a fail I won't forget for at least 2 years.

Why sell it BTW? Would doing a 10 dollar bill of sale help like it does with registration taxes? J It would help the taxes Mike "should" claim from selling it, but not from his winning it. As an employer it's almost impossible to legally give an employee a gift or something similar without forcing the employee to pay for it. We taxed people on gift cards. And because laws changed a while back "Thanks Obama" it has to be seen as a bonus. That means it's taxed at a much higher amount than regular pay. At one time there was discussion about taxing work events and gifts involved as small as coffee cups and such. There is a line you can hide behind that involves team building and thus a required cost of business though. You just have to make sure your careful. Mike's case is tough because he can, and is going to, sell the gift. It is also a raffle, and not something directly related to a work exercise. They could probably give it to him as a company perk, but then he wouldn't own it until X date, and it would be have to used in some work capacity. That could be mowing his lawn with their logo on the tractor, but again, it's sketchy at best. Prior to some of the law changes you could have your employees win gift cards and not tax them. Especially if the money seemed to flow through vendors. A friend sold cell phones and made 80% of his income as Amazon/Visa or AmEx gift cards. The company didn't pay tax and neither did the employee. Those was a gross misuse of the loophole and got closed, but was technically legal at the time. Matt - in your job you should be allocated one up to $500 spiff that is tax free per year. Possible that has changed, but it sure used to be that way in MN.
