Just wondering about different mid bass
///M5 replied to antoinez28's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
I'll give you a hint. IF they were possibly designed well at all they COULD work...if you mounted them all right next to each other in the kicks. That is something I'd never do though. One other hint. I've never seen a car audio passive crossover worth a shit. I am running TB W4-1337 Full Range in my office. The pair of drivers were $100 and I have $200 into the crossover. Mind you these are full range so you might say "no crossover" needed. Can you imagine how crappy said crossover could be on a 3 way passive in particular when you account for the fact that they weren't designed in the mounting location. Then add the shitty drivers they give you. The benefit of a 3 way is to get a REAL midbass and a near full range driver for the mid so that your music approximates a point source. They all fail on giving you shit of both. You can crap on the tweeter in a 3 way, but the other two drivers are SUPER important. -
I have 3.1, NT, 98, 98SE, 2000, 7Pro, 8Pro and I feel like I am missing one. Always bought for me by work. Nice of them.

Was thinking of installing 98 just to be a dick.
-
And fuck you Microsoft. The copy of 8 I have is an upgrade only, they won't let me activate. Just installed 7...and now 8 again.
-
I'd throw the Aurum out, I also think you are misrepresenting the XS. They are potentially part of the problem. Assuming they can play low won't help. ER or CA would be choice. Slightly more midbass on the CA and better midrange on the ER. Sort of sad I sold my ER's.

I've probably explained it more than 50 times on the board... Absolute horseshit compromise.- 20 replies

There are a ton of ultra generic cameras. They'll be chinese, but at $8 each or whatever buy two. btw, the oem ones are probably chinese too. Even gets better now that China is outsourcing to Cambodia. -

Why don't you try yourself and then ask to see how it is? Spoon feeding doesn't help anyone. -

Sure it is all connected right? Some of it working screams it isn't. Rears are pretty useless in a Suburban which makes them uber useful in an HHR... -
Fuck, put it in my car for a week. Please.

May also check your tint laws. In MN where we can't tint anything you are allowed in a truck to tint your rear window and side windows with paint if you want. Fronts can't be more than 50%, but the rears can be 0%...so from that perspective you wouldn't be distracting your view IF it were a truck in MN. No idea there. -

Nearly any camera will work. Simplify this a bit. 1 camera plugged into both your headunit and an external monitor. This way you get the big screen for backing up and the little screen for regulations. There are a TON of options like this: http://www.afterpartz.com/us/3-5-tft-lcd-color-screen-car-rearview-monitor-dvd-vcr.html?gclid=CjwKEAjw8_idBRCExfC15My3owwSJACSDX_WJ8EQmVZL2jNnVGFz9CRHa-GFLE7grH4NxNKl_MSI7hoCbKHw_wcB The camera is equally as easy. In my truck I am just using the stock camera with a $10 adapter to go into my PC. -
Diy install 4 weeks and i seem to be making it worse

Not sure what you are "making worse" Need to keep this simple. What about your system isn't working to your expectations. -
And J, I really like the U's. Nearly the Excel without all the negatives and more of what is needed on the bottom end.
