Balanced takes up to 2V in and has bare wire inputs ftw. No need to make RCA's off the stock deck.

4th order BP require a REALLY beefy front stage for them to sound even reasonable. And when you design them to do that you realize that they don't have any more output than a standard ported box. 6th order however you can tune for a gain and keep them musically interesting. Today's music is also tough though as it has plenty of notes so low and high that it is basically impossible to get a 4th order to work.

Plenty of core building exercises that use your body weight. Would assume abs will follow. I am supposed to do them all for my rehab, but yeah, that's exercise so...

Is the stock headunit have a flat response? Which DSP atm? *having a hard time understanding a DSP that can't take at least 1v and have never seen a headunit with 10v outs...

Don't forget the primary goal of a 3 way and that is to have a single driver playing as much of the frequency range as it can. Close proximity to the other drivers helps the handoff, but avoiding it is even better.

A week at HQ can drive anyone nuts. Had to babysit our CEO and business unit head every night. They need a lot of help atm...

As always, first stop loudspeaker design cookbook. In the meantime, just build a standard ported enclosure. No way, no how you are going to arbitrarily make a 4th order BP that performs anywhere near as well.

That'd be silly. Just buy SDS. You aren't going to beat that bang for your buck. so is having 8 18s if you think about it, but people do it ;PTerrible analogy however. 8 18's has more effectiveness at creating bass than 8 15's so there is a purpose. Vibraflex not so much.

It can, but that isn't the right question. The real question is for what listening levels will doppler distortion and output over run the 4. The goal of a 3 way is to give the FR driver enough support on both ends, but to try to invade on its response as little as possible. Easiest way to have a point source is to use a single driver. Obviously in those mounting locations and with the low frequency noise floor in a car a single 4 on each side isn't enough.

IIRC you are using a TB for the 4. The Ti ones I have can dig pretty low at reference levels in the house. I'd evaluate potentially lowering it although considering the close proximity to the midbass that is probably inconsequential. Not sure what your output desires are though. Going to have some super potential

Whomever coined the ratio is a moron. Going to waste some wood. Either design a real bandpass or pick an alignment you understand.

I remember having that issue at one point as well. It seems to me that they wouldn't populate on one of my media players as well... WinAmp or Windows Media. I'll try to look on my computer to see if I can remember how I fixed the issue, but I can't remember what it was exactly... it was last year, and I haven't repopulated the folder in a while... with all the new music I have at this point, I need to. Just wondering, is all the media currently linked to your server/network? I do remember having some media on a device that was not on my network at the time and all it's media did not show up. Seems like there was just an IP conflict I was not aware of. Simple, and likely something you already checked, but easy enough to overlook, is why I mention it. I have to cut my media into 10ths to get it to load in winamp. Never used Plex...

Information is great, but back it up with a simple question. i wasn't really sure you were even asking a question, nor what it was.- 10 replies

I am basically minutes from grabbing my 5th mini if that says much. At least by the time you have something I'll have a real test bench setup.

2x4 is not enough. 1x7 is. I run a pair of them and it sucks to wire them up. Sort of dumb to buy the unbalanced ones for that reason since raw wires are easier. Most enthusiasts may balk at that which then means you need connectors so an enclosure for 7 chan of processing is needed. User interface for writing custom biquads isn't super straightforward, but isn't all that hard either. Biggest interface concern for me is the need for a pc. Of course, I can easily bring one on my boat and have one in the car so... So really it is just the wiring. Need the DC delay/isolator, 2 miniDSP's, USB cable a volume knob and all your amplifier & power wires. Not really a clean way to do that. Packaging could help a shit ton.

I ran 135's on my beetle and they were 8" wheels IIRC. Ultra stretched. Had to run tubes
