Sorry Jon. Hope things turn!
-
Never said anything about the sub, it is irrelevant and the last thing you change.
-
It'll cost more and may not be clear. Worth a call to US to figure out what you want for the job, they were super helpful. Mihgt have just chatted online.
-
That is where I bought mine. Coated the concrete sink I made in it. Epoxy Resin.

Not so much about the numbers as it is about trying to avoid cooking the X12. I want my $400 sub to last. Did you read what I just wrote? I don't care if your amp does 10,000w you don't have to set it there. Since you can't audibly hear a difference why would you submit the driver to it?
-
You aren't going to achieve your goals, so no. Even doubling your Ti's won't though. You need more space if you have to have 'more'.
-
You can't hear the difference between 1500w and 2000w so STOP going on "numbers"

What you've read is wrong. Way better off adding another ti

All the DD-1 will do is fuck your stuff up. It has ZERO value for anything....well okay, perhaps for a paperweight. It is seriously a terrible idea to use. The number of blown drivers that are set with a DD-1 is a WAY higher percentage than ones set ANY other way. More confusion in your first post too. Then those people are idiots. No such thing as underpowering. The way you've asked the question would tend to have me recommend the Z for you. Either will be fine however.
-
Both, lol. I don't believe in wireless automation as it is not usually dual directional which means it fucks up.

Don't know mackathun, but SJ ice cream is usually bomb! Meat market from St. Boni. Not stellar, but they are real and therefore edible.
-
Of course when they retail out new at over $100k it isn't like the boat club will spring for one.
-
Another perspective for you. If I hadn't paid cash, this would be $140/mo. No mechanical concern either since I have Travelers Insurance which covers mechanical as well. Throws a way better wake and holds more people than any of the ones in that club. WAY cheaper too.
-
Went for a swim in Carson's Bay on the way back too. I am finally turning my boys into waterbugs.
-
Just got off mine. Took the kids to Tommy's Trolley for a Mackathun's Dog and some Sebastian Joe's Ice Cream.

New SQ based enclosure, advice requested.
///M5 replied to bassahaulic's topic in SPL & SQ / Fabrication
Front stage, front stage, front stage. Subs are easy. That will be fine, but you probably don't have to tune that low either. -
Then the question is what midbass to go with it. They have horseshit midbass. They also pair terribly with a tweeter. Not sure your goals, space, processing, listening preferences etc. so offering a solution is impossible. Did peruse your other thread and saw the pic of the mounting locations. Awful idea as well. Need to get them outboard of you and not in the console.

Good friend of mine did it for 3 years and then did the math. Shot himself as he realized he could have owned his dream boat for less depreciation and cost than he spent and had nothing to show for it.
-
Availability without planning up front is difficult in a club normally too. Before signing up look at the reservation log for TODAY and see what you could use. That'll be your normal choice.
-
Most people do fail on boat ownership though too. 1st rule is buy something depreciated as you will want something different next year. A 7+ yr old boat you should be able to buy and keep for 5+ years and sell for the same price. Boats have a very strange depreciation curve and it is awful up front. Also have to make sure it is desirable. 2nd rule is expect that you will sell it within 12mo. You learn a ton over what works for what you want and such after ownership. Which of course brings me to another problem with that club. Outside of the pontoons their choices are because they are concserving money trying to buy something new when there are way better choices. If you want to rent a pontoon for X$ per time then perhaps it is fine....but then I'd look for just rental places as they will be priced similar normally.

Those clubs are a HUGE ripoff. Boat collection is strange too.Nah, I know a few people in it and they all love it! A nice boat would cost way more to actually own, plus they retire boats after 2-3 years so the fleet always stays new. Me and a friend are gonna spit the family deal, its like 2300 up front and around 350 per month split between the two of us so thats not bad at all. The 2300 is a one time fee so if you had the account even only 3-5 years your coming out good. They are on 3 lakes around here too. What I like is that me and a friend could get a ski boat from 7am to 1 or so then go back and meet the family at the dock and switch over to a big tritoon pontoon boat to go relax till dark. Then I dont have to clean nothing, tow anything back home etc. Be back the next day for a different boat to try. The key is using the boats as much as you can. If you only go once a month it might not make sense, but to me neither would actually buying a boat and not using it. I like that I could leave work early and take a few of my guys over and grab a badass ski boat for the afternoon and us act a fool. Or take a new client out for the day, seems like a good marketing expense for us The good thing is the lake is 5 minutes away and they dont allow boats to be parked in my subdivision and dock rental is high as hell. I've owned around 10 boats. Never had one that I didn't sell for within $500 of what I paid for it. Have a Malibu LSV 23' atm that I could sell for $15k more than I paid for it. *excluding maintenance in my cost/purchase price but that involves an oil change, lower lube change, trans fluid change, and less than $3k over all of them. $6500 for the first year hurts. $350/mo is pretty cheap though. The ones around here are $4k for 10 uses. $400 a pop is brutal. My 30' Sea Ray Sundancer monthly payment was only $400 btw.

Cow matts are plenty thick, the ones in my bil's barn are 3/4". Heavy as shit, but you ain't gonna hurt anything under it.
-
Tons of great midbass drivers but you can't just buy one and pair it with any tweeter or mid . This is made more amusing since the driver you are looking at is not a midbass.
-
Help yourself out. Make a real thread. Read the terms. There is no ONE solution for everyone and you've given us NOTHING to go on. You've made a ton of threads and none with any information or attempt to let us help you.

Pretty much anything else.
