YOu've found the only two brands I've even heard of. We measure molten steel as it is being made to determine length and regularly you'll see Flir in the same environment. Wish I could help more.

help with 80prs auto-eq
///M5 replied to spanky1975's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I tried in a variety of ways including as it is spelled out in the manual. Nothing was even close or logical. It does absolutely no measurement of cone breakup, fails miserably at time alignment and just flat out sucks. To put it in perspective using a relatively random crossover of 4k at 12dB mid/hp with NO time alignment at all and it sounded worlds better.- 18 replies

Any of the ELM 327 based units will be fine then.

And that is the bummer, the one thing it SHOULD be able to do right is T/A. Only reason I tried it as it is easier than pulling out any other gear to measure. It failed miserably at it though.- 18 replies

Ryan - depends on the need. The $12 ones from Amazon will check your codes, but I left mine plugged in and it fired all sorts of errors on the ECU. If you want real time logging I'd use a different one, for just resetting though the el cheapo's work.

Way past diminishing returns, much better means to the end.

Didn't mean to trivialize the good sounding to you part. Definitely the first step. I would warn you on using it as a starting point though as they jack so many settings it is hard to correct. I found it much easier from scratch. And seriously it will just get WAY better.- 18 replies

Would any of this change based upon the state of the H2O?JNo. It could be ice. If the mass increases somehow you may need to turn up the volume, but otherwise it has nothing to do with it being water or dog shit. Gosh, you guys and your horseplay rhetoric. Water DOES have a frequency. The frequency CAN be denoted from pH (potential hydrogen) and mineral content. The resonate frequency of the molecule speeds up with the addition of hydrogen protons through protonation. The frequency is in the UHF-VHF range. I thought Sean would of got it at least. Then that isn't water. Read my previous, H20 on its own is governed as stated. When you start to add molecules it will change. Either way the only relevance to floating it is a mass change. The entire statement doesn't even make sense to begin with. Does car have part?replace water with h2o...works either way, pretty universalNo I mean the whole statement about a molecule having some specific frequency--just one, and how it somehow relates to some bullshit e.g. healthier water, more energy, better pesticide, what ever the fuck.Ah, you quoted me was wondering how that made no sense. Even calling it a resonant frequency is strange as it denotes a structure. Molecular frequency fine, but that sure the hell won't affect "levitation" nor health/energy/pesticide/fuck value.

If the auto eq sounds good you need to find someone who knows how to tune. It screws up even the easy stuff.- 18 replies

There is something very wrong with it if by highway you mean setting the cruise at 70'ish

It's the hey asshole you are in a stupid gear button

I always get shitty mileage.

I drove 150mi yesterday. Was averaging above 19mpg. Then all of a sudden I was on a closed course and right next to a Cummins Ram with a 6" tail pipe chortling soot. Raced him from 60-120 and my mileage dropped to 17mpg average for 2/3 of the trip. Explains why I normally get 11. Beat him btw. Wish I had already turboed it though Hell my parent's first Suburban would get single digits if you dogged it enough. Considering it only put out 250 horsepower and 350 ft. lbs. torque through a 4L60E, that happened on a few occasions... I've seen single digits on the Caddy as well.

<-- feels like an idiot I can load the image, start a virtual drive, but then I try to open the "E" drive and it says I need to format it before using it.

Can controls on a single board. Nice. Too much dough though. At least my solution was cheaper.

Figures, less than 1 day after I order the pac part to plug into my other Joycon EXR which I haven't used yet, they release this: http://www.rcjoycon.com/base_3/menu_10.php?com_board_basic=read_form&com_board_idx=20&menu=10&&com_board_search_code=&com_board_search_value1=&com_board_search_value2=&com_board_page=&
