Curious what you like about the Gear Wrench sockets. My biggest beef with shopping for them now is they don't list the pieces that are included.
-
So the pet peeve I have with my current tools are that some are missing. I have a TON of hand me down stuff. That being said, I'd like a complete set of 6 pt 1/4",3/8",1/2" in shallow and deep well. In Crapsman that is $200. In SK that is $$350 + the 1/2" stuff which gets absurd. I don't probably really need to do the deeps in 1/2" since I have them in impact, but I'd like to. I also hate reading the damn labels to put them all away. I never roll my tool box to my project which is stupid, but hey well fuck me. They sell Gearwrench at Sears, lol.
-
Not really interested in what it is, just don't want garbage. Thought having a "full" set for $180 was a deal, at $340 I am shopping. I've looked at the Gearwrench stuff and always been frightened it was a "as seen on TV" product and not the real deal. More than wiling to spend for something real. I generically use my impact stuff for almost everything as it is the most complete, but obviously that isn't ideal.

Shit. Bastards s just called me. 54 missing pieces
-
Picture still shows Made in the USA. And it is supposedly a "complete" set. All I really wanted was a full set of 6 points and figured I'd delegate my older stuff to the sleds/boat. More than I had planned on, but the price made it a no brainer. Couldn't piece together only 6 points from Klutch for the same price even. I like the "easy ride"

Just grabbed this: http://www.sears.com/craftsman-299-piece-ultimate-easy-read-socket-set/p-00935299000P For $175 as a "refurb". Have to pick it up in St Cloud, but since I am driving to Thief River Falls Sunday and back Wednesday I will be going right by

The sub was built by zueslicious from cacoThen get the t/s parameters from him if you don't think Aaron's are right. Or you could do what ///M5 said and measure your own. Have you tried calling RE Audio? Aaron's are for the destroyer and what RE would have. Being this is a "Custom" woofer it won't match those. Could be WAY off in fact. All that being said, I've never seen a "custom" woofer really worth using. If the builder can't share T/S parameters then he is guessing which is not how I would want a woofer designed.

Land on Sun the 19th at 9:15pm and leave Tuesday at 10pm Probably will have to have dinner with the museum staff on Monday, but will let you know Aaron if that changes.

With DC traffic, I would leave by 4:00pm latest to be safe. BWI is 20 mins from my place.Thanks. Haven't bought a ticket yet as DCA is so close, but it is $1000 to get in and out of there and WAY cheaper to BWI. Need to see what a car price is too...BWI being the biggest usually has the best pricing. Dulles/Regan is usually pricey. Surprised since Regan seems to be such a 'mid point' hub. J Location and size have ZERO to do with pricing. It all depends on which airlines serve where and when. They will charge as much as they can. I bought a Shit COuntry ticket to DCA in First Class cheaper than a name brand airlines normal seat. Half the price in fact. WTF!!!
-
Don't buy it. Buy something with known parameters. SMD is full of morons that don't know their head from their ass and utilizig anything frankensteined from there is a terrible idea.

You can either homebrew a T/S tester or buy one from PE. Most likely if you ask the question you'll need to buy one.

I don't think the M is worth the extra anymore. Was different when they were really shoehorning something special on the inside. Suspension wise sure it is sportier, but not as comfortable and it isn't like the 550 isn't sporty.
-
Can't build a box for a frankenwoofer without measuring the T/S parameters. If you haven't built it already you are WAY better off not as slapping a bunch of random stuff together never nets nice results.
-
What do you want checked? Also curious as to why 2 enclosures, personally I'd do one.
-
Need to buy a new 3/8" socket set as I am donating my old one to the snowmobile. Whose to buy?
-
Aaron - how long will it take to get from the Smithsonian to BWI if I have a 7pm flight? ie, should get there by 6pm so when do I leave the Smithsonian?
-
Wires? First step you need crossovers, then wires. None of your current wiring will work though. What are you using for a crossover?

It is shocking from a rolling start. I'd love to test drive one, just to see how quick she is. J I get one as a "rental" car in SoCal regularly. Super fun. Speed wise it is basically on par with the ML63 I had which is downright nasty from a dig. 0-30 the ML walks after that the 550 does. Competing with a 503hp NA V8 built to rev is impressive.

Pull it at 105 and let it rest for 30 minutes. It NEVER fails. The hotter you cook it the sooner you need to pull it. Of course cooking it too slow might mean 105 is too early....but that has never been the case with mine. Thermapen ftmfw.

I promise I won't make you go hungry

Some day I'll come roll you in the Caddy ... but I need to do some serious work first, lol.

Car is sleeper quick too.
