Even in my case. I did an awful lot of Acoustics & Waves as it was my focus. I use this everyday, but even if I hadn't learned it in college I'd know it now.
-
That thing is the capability to learn, everything else is a useless specific.
-
I should clarify, my ONLY expectation of anyone with a degree is that in college they learned ONE and only one thing.
-
Experience trumps knowledge every timr.No offense, but in my experience that's something people with no degree say to justify their lack of higher education. Your statement is definitely true in many cases, but also very wrong in many others. I have hired several people who have absolutely proven that statement wrong many times over. One of them still works for me...not enough to justify firing her yet...but should have all the experience needed to excel, and absolutely does not. Performance is average on her best day. I went to what was ranked as the 2nd best college in the nation, have a Physics degree and no one has ever yet cared about my education. My experience, absolutely. I also ignore degrees pretty much when I hire.

Heading into Georgetown for some great, but brutally priced food and a dose of DC trendy? Did that last night. Tonight I am lazy which usually means sushi....the the airport . I have to come back though... Where did you go? Some local place real close to the hotel. Not worth returning too. They had $1 Nigiri though so I ate 60 of them.

1 - depends on the car 2- wherever it fits, normally the trunk 3- It "crosses over" the audio such that high frequencies go to a tweeter and lower ones go to the midrange. Or less specifically it "passes" appropriate sounds to appropriate drivers. 4-Never, rear speakers are ultimately a HUGE waste of money 5- Deadening is a critical part of an install. The install is WAY more important than the equipment. ie, you should budget for install even if it means greatly reducing budget for the rest.

Just as a clarification, 2 things. 1) Pio 720Prs is a WAY better set than a CDT or ID set for similar price. WAY, WAY. 2) I haven't played with the 'new' set above and have no idea if it holds true there. All that being said, anything on h/u power can sound like crap at higher levels. Hard to sound good on 3w.

Going to need a new crossover if you change the driver. No other way around it. Using a PRV with your tweeter means custom crossovers which will cost way more than a new component set.

Is everything running off the head unit?

Just left my sisters house downtown for the airport Took the kids down there to grill on the 20th floor patio, watch the game and swim. The only thing worse than the Vikings this year is my fantasy team. May just win this week. Sad day when Buffalo without Spiller or Jackson beats you.

Wine you brought home from California perhaps? Is that treks decking? Something from the cellar. What I brought home from Napa I can't drink for at least 3 years and should really wait 5-10. Painted wood.

A week ago you couldn't see the road.
-
Wasn't about to stand up to shoot that

Having a glass of wine sitting on my deck listening to the squirrels hide their nuts.

Any idea when more stride in aerodynamics on bigger vehicles might be made? It seems like so much effort is focused on smaller cars than anything else. J It is shocking what they accomplish on big vehicles already. Wind tunnel testing is a HUGE focus in particular on big vehicles since they are the ones that have the most ground to make up. That's why I am curious in that department. I would imagine there is still ample room for improvement, I just want to know when and how. J there is VERY little room for improvement without changing sizeNo real room in changing the air lines, slopes of windows, angle of the grill etc to allow for better aerodynamics? What about weight reduction without compromising safety? J Do you want a truck with space in it or one that seats one person. Aerodynamics is a really simple science compared to what they are playing with now.Weight reduction has nothing to do with Aero. Ford's F150 is now 100% aluminum for that exact purpose now. A year ago a Magnesium full size sheeting plant opened as well so there are many ways of reducing mass. No but both can lead to better MPG's. Of course I want the space, I just would like it to be more fuel efficent. J stay out of the gas pedal. I can get 20 in my truck but average less than 11

I expect DFI to get more complicated and to have higher pressures and such in the not so distant future as well. Timing the duty cycle in such a way to control the flame front to achieve an even more thorough burn will help power and emissions but of course those are byproducts of efficiency.
