Last night in Germany, so sick of German food. It is really awful. Worst country in the world to eat.

Sounds like user error to me. How so? Not sure. BSOD with data errors when starting.Ouch. Can you image the drive in Linux, or doesn't read at all?Not sure I am in Germany. PC at home. I don't need an image though, I have one on the hard drive in it. Will take about 10 minutes to restore if I have a functional SSD. It is possible the OS is corrupt, but this fits the kill the SSD pattern that I've had instead. And yes, I've changed the: powerconditioning, power supply and even motherboard. Makes 4 SSD drives in 2 years.

Not high at all. It is dumbfounding to me that you even think there is a need for explanation. EVERY car is modelled first BEFORE it is built. Perhaps you should go inform all of the OEM manufacturers why they don't need to model. I can tell you the platform manager for the Impala you drive will laugh his ass off at you, if it helps I can introduce you. Pretty funny that the world champs bluffed you out. If they don't do something as simple as modelling that is rather laughable. Lol i think your high as a kite. I never asked for a explanation of anything nor your input or anyone else on modeling. Your taking this out into left field went from my 4th order to GM modeling a impala. As far as anyone bluffing me your foolish to think that. Anyone that knows anything about SPL its testing and building. Especially in the org i run. im done trying to reason. You guys are pretty hard headed. But ill keep you updated on how my non computer modeled build goesEvery thread on any forum can be searched for at anytime. Premise of your response was that modelling is incorrect or not useful. That is absurd. GM models the complete vehicle acoustic and vibration response. The audio portion being a very simple part of that equation. If someone searches for 4th orders and finds a monstrosity of a recommendation it isn't good for the board. If you believe that those competing and doing well don't understand the model and their choices that is laughable. A 4th order BP box isn't a good choice for a random design, in particular for either extreme as it is very tunable both with port and enclosure size. Would take about 10 seconds in any modelling program to figure that out.

I missed this. What Sean said.If you go full frame you can "get away with" 24-70 and 70-200. If you use a crop sensor you will want wider.2.8 aperture.IS is something you can deal without. I wouldn't want to on the long end of that 200 though. It really depends on what you shoot. I shoot portraits 80% or more. 95% are not posed. Almost 99% cannot be duplicated (wedding, birthday, event). So I care about IS and speed of focus more than someone who spends their time at wide angles shooting scenery.I'm horrible with long exposures actually. I don't practice them either and I really should. No crop sensor. The IS is very important as I shoot concerts (from time to time), and what are posed shots are few and far between. The reason for looking into an upgrade in body is also due to the development of faster shutter speeds, better mirrors, and a more efficent IS sensor.JI barely need the IS on the 24-75..... but I chose that rather than the ever so slightly faster focus of the Canon offering. It was nice that it saved me money, but for me at the moment cost is no object and I still chose the IS.It's not needed for most situations, until you end up in a church in Italy that was build before before the city burned to the ground. Crazy dark in some places. Concerts should have enough light to make IS not needed and you need to shoot those fast anyway.I would probably still want it though. If it was sports with a lot of lighting though, and I assume concerts to be relatively the same, I would want the fastest focus. How far away are you when you shoot a concert J?On the non-tele IS won't help in a concert. Audience and stage is moving so long shutter speed is pointless.I really, really wish my 11-16 was an IS though. It would help on that lens more than anywhere. Typically shooting from in front of the crowd. Its rare to have to shoot from the sound board (pyro the whole set causes this). This is just one example of my usual angle. Photobucket isn't nice, I can't snope your settings. Please share as it will help with the glass discussion. Frame rate, zoom, f stop, etc.

I leave town and BAM. Another SSD took a shit. WTF? That is 3 in 2 years.

It doesn't help that you picked a trendy, mostly pointless alignment that nooblets often reach for to be different. The information you have on modelling is completely false. Not only is it easy to do and accurate, but it is exactly how the car you built the box in was designed. The pretext of building X enclosures to try things out and see is absurd. I'd love to have you show us any shop that consistently puts out good installs that doesn't model their ported enclosures. I'll give you a hint, there isn't a single one anywhere in the world. Going from a standard 4th order ported to a BP ported doesn't really even complicate the math. And please forget any "ratio". Anyone that recommends a ratio without knowing exactly what the driver is has no idea what they are doing and will fail miserably.

What was the first statement related to? Lol so random.I told you man. I used every 70-200 they had and the 2.8 USMii is not just an upgrade. It's a huge leap ahead.J asked an expenditure question Looks like some great glass. A bit pricey (for me) in the 70-200 models but from the images shot with it, damn what a lens. I may just step up the body for now as my D3000 has been used for 4 years now and had numerous bumps. J I'd rather have a shitty body and real glass than the other way around.

Anyone ever had any experience with this Fountek driver?
///M5 replied to altoncustomtech's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
In a car with a decent dash it is WAY easier with the widebander. WAY. -
I would. If the muddle time is too long then adding a very small amount of fluid will help too. Never had a problem with mine being too short though.

F If that portion of the front stage only needs to play nice from 300Hz+ I'd much prefer a single 3" driver to a 5" and a tweet. The caveat of course being a car with a dash where this can actually work. Physical limitation cannot be overcome. -

The fad stems from doing a 2 way. A 2 way with an FR is a huge improvement to a 2 way with a 7 & tweet. Yes lots of factors and sure a tweeter helps, but there is quite the jump from simple 2 way processing to 3. -
F2.8 is the key. Should have a 17-50 and 70-200 option. Combination is basically what you need. Speaking of Matt, I shot a wedding with my body and a 70-200 2.8 II USM IS. Now I fucking need one, you bastard.

Shit, that is what I have for a rental here in Germany

More of an enclosure might help the low end of the 3 as well. With the 5" you will miss the sparkle. The 4's in my office give me plenty, but sitting position is critical. -

Those will be a huge hot mess in a car. Even 4" FR's have a super teeny sweet spot. I move my head 6" in my office and the sound is annoyingly bad compared to when I have it where it should be. Using w4-1337's in ported enclosures with a sub crossed in on the low end. Expect to also need rather heavy eq on an FR of larger size. Has to be a way to help your install though. Although by nature 3" drivers are anemic. -
Special all goose menu right now for the season too, which was fun.

Ought to be interesting as the kitchen isn't a super English friendly place.
