Any way of using a mouse without your hands? ie, while playing guitar.
-
That sounds like a hot mess of crap to me. Nothing listed goes well together, not even close. Should start with your goals and space. Wherever else you've been reading has you very confused. That depends. It'll come with a cost though if it does. No. Forget everything you think you learned wherever you heard ratio. That is an absolute fail and will make the answer to #1 both quieter and shittier sounding. SQ and SPL are dire opposites. One is playing ONE note as loud as possible the other playing them all equal. You can't compromise. From your description a bandpass sounds like a terrible choice for you so far. This also makes the rest of your questions moot and somewhat off topic.

Perhaps a purpose and your goals might help garner some attention. You can model it too, real easy.

Why should it be? The SKU would indicate a USA model. J I was wrong. USA starts wtih J too but less numbers after. Hmm
-
Hmm, MIJ ...or at least it should be: http://www.musicgoround.com/p/181087/used-jackson-sl3

Oh, I forgot. Every couple days I check Guitar Center nationwide as well.

There are TONS of painted neck ones. Frustrating. The oiled ones are overpriced that are out there. Something like 4 in the country (that are used). There is one in Deerfield Beach I am watching and if it drops a bit I'm in. I have no reason to go that way though so it isn't an ideal location. Spending over a G I'd love to play it first...

US made should be $1200 or so, MIJ $500-600

This is a Jap one, but at $950 that is absurd. Should be $500 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Near-Mint-Jackson-SL3-SL-3-Soloist-Neck-Thru-Flametop-W-TKL-Hardshell-Case-/261756065964?pt=Guitar&hash=item3cf1e098ac

Serial number of a Usa one starts with U, Japan J

All of the Ebay ones under $1k are currently Indonesian meh's

...but would prefer the Floyd Rose recessed. If it were $1200 I'd get out to San Jose quickly.

This one I like...a lot http://www.ebay.com/itm/Jackson-Custom-Shop-SL2H-V-Solist-List-4000-/171658200444?pt=Guitar&hash=item27f7a0457c

I appreciate it, just don't want you running around special. I am chasing a needle in a haystack and know it, but have time to. The one shop claims they get in the SL1-4 models quite often. I'll be checking with them iften as they have an extensive selection. I was shocked to see some of the Peavy Tbass' hanging up there. J Thanks J, if they have one unpainted and from Japan or the USA I'm interested. I can grab an Indonesian sample here, but am holding out!

So far, daily I use SearchTempest for CL nationwide and Ebay. The ones on Ebay are either WAY overpriced or not oiled necks. I really hate painted necks.

I'm sick of no snow you fuckers

*does the morning nationwide CL search

And J, I am not opposed to a deal by any means but I am also open to something that is just priced near where it should be. Willing to lose a little if I don't own it that long as the learning experience of holding what I want and then comparing to others will be well worth it.

Coltrane is good at that
-
Okay, not really a break but the ignoring the stuff that gives me a headache trying to figure it out.
-
Ha, I am taking a break from real Jazz myself. It caused me to stop playing guitar when I found it last time, I need to have a reasonable compromise atm.
-
Oh, a thru neck Jackson Star would be okay as well. Crazy Japs sold OG Jacksons under a different name once we discontinued models over here. Being I'll be in a Japan in a few weeks and the strength of the dollar I'd LOVE to buy one while I am out. My colleague that I'm travelling with will laugh as the last time I saw him I bought an amp.

My Gibson is also SUPER obvious to me when E is in tune. I can slap new strings on it and get it SUPER close to perfect with no note being played nearby. The harmonics on that thing sustain and hang like hell.
-
I've never actually owned one. Had to learn to tune when I was 8.
