What I posted came right off the SQ website. I didn't say it was right or wrong.it was wrong, I don't care who posted it

Big heavy pan filled halfway with oil. You MUST have an oil thermometer. In the long run they will cost just as much as eating them out.
-
You don't need to do anything special for break in
-
Don't need a deep fryer to deep fry.
-
So you'd eat that, but you won't fry your own wings? The wing thing is funny on another level. Do you think that a vegetable in a deep fryer collects more fat than the skin of the wing? Think it is bad fat? As with any cooking keep the damn oil/pan hot and it won't be a shit show.

The only real reason I want to stream my computer to the TV's is that I've ripped our kiddie DVD's to the PC. Then I can toss the DVD player as it is in the living room now and I don't like looking at stuff like that. I am the guy that hides all the cables, routes things nicely and tries to hide all electronics BESIDES speakers and the idiot box itself. you could probably hid something like the raspberry pi somewhere out of site. buying multi pi's for each tv probably isn't what you're looking for.... I have a full automation system. For 90% of what I do its fine to use "extend" as I can drag video onto another screen. Makes it hard to use the computer though.

The reason you like wings is because they are deep fried. Cooking non-flat skin to crispness without copious oil is VERY difficult. No recipe will save them. Your only hope will end up with equal amounts of fat in the wings anyways. Have to get them dry as hell and then drench them in butter prettymuch.

Sell the 1200 and buy a 1080. Problem solved I'd have to down size then which I odn't want to do. When I remodel the kitchen that'll be fine.
-
Yep. I'd expect $2/ft for install alone.

It is significantly under 80 in that room even if it is -30F outside and the furnace on all day/night. Maybe 75?

Other thing I don't like about NAS is that my whole house is connected to my work network. I only pay for one internet connection and the router I use is a direct connection to Germany. Amusingly if you autoproxy any pc at my house everything shows up in German.

My method does require a second drive for my laptop which is somewhat annoying if I want to share. My file structure is simple though so it is SUPER easy for me to duplicate what is on where. I use a sync program that looks for changes in files and only copies those. Makes it super fast to stay on top of shit.

It's humid. Built in humidifier and my water treatment flushes A LOT.

Definitely. Understatement. Aidan is in kindergarten and Tanner is a few months away from being 4. Nutso!! Amazing how fast time flies once you have kids. The best of times are coming with them. Treasure these years because they go so fast. Let them know the crazy guy in the mask says hi. Will do. Thanks dude. Easy but requires switching resolution. Found a software at one point that would allow me to quick key which was the main display and therefore adjust the resolution. My goal is to not lose the 1200 on the monitor when NOT playing content on TV's. For video I don't really care, but looking at the internet with dead bands on the monitor drives me NUTS.

And really the only time I ever back up are: 1) when I do my taxes 2) when I download pictures from my camera which is probably 1x/mo I add music, but that backs up automatically when I do the pics. If it disappears before I have it on my laptop. The only real reason for NAS would be to allow full access to my media. It is available now already though in every room but my office. That is cured much cheaper with another squeezebox than a NAS server.
