I use the PC to play movies and music and control it via a bluetooth keyboard/trackpad thing. Rather then mirror and waste the resolution on the monitor i just extend the displays and use a few easy keyboard shortcuts to move programs around. Alternatively you could just enable and disable mirror mode w/ the window key + p. Other key bindings like alt+tab to select the window and the window key + arrow buttons to move it between screens work pretty well. can you watch in both screens that way? A toggle that switches to 1080p everywhere works for me yep You do that in mirror? if you enable mirror either through selecting the option or the window key + p hotkey the result is the same. Windows selects the resolution of the lowest monitor and displays the display across all the monitors. the hotkey is convenient in that you can toggle it on/off. hot key idea is sweet too since I can manipulate them via automation too

Think the video card was the problem, lol. I wasn't using ATI drivers, but just stock windows. Remember hating Catalyst and uninstalling it. Nvidia card went in without removing any drivers and booted all fine. Downloading latest NVIDIA driver atm. And it should be obvious, lol. The fan doesn't even really spin on the video card. Wonder why it got hot?

install fresh use a d drive for data and map it all so c is operating system only. Macrium the c drive and backup his d data. When he fucks it up in 10 minutes you are back

The ratshack meter is a type II meter, not a type one. At 8kHz the specification is something like +/-10dB or something absolutely ridiculous. Has a roll off down low, but I don't remember it nor have a chart in front of me atm. Using it for anything not just relative is really somewhat pointless.

About the same time most of my friends could brown some burger, add a jar of preggo and boil some dried noodles. Although 30m may not even be enough for that....in particular if you add a vegetable. We normally eat 2 veggies with any meal.

Think the reference I used was making Spaghetti Carbonara. I can make it using nothing processed in about 30 minutes. Could probably do it faster, but the noodle dough has to rest 20 minutes before I can roll out the noodles.

It is hard to help with recipes. Stefan asked me for some in chat some night. Wanted fast & easy. Fast depends on knife skills. Easy depends on the guy at the stove and with the knife. If you've got 20 minutes and it takes you 15 to peel a head of garlic and make a purée out of 10 cloves. That only leaves 5 for something else. I can do that in 90 seconds shit faced.
