My, how modest. We both know the good midbass drivers with any kind of xmax will usually model out with more than .75 cuft lol He isn't looking at midbasses with lots of xmax but something with output in the pro audio domain. That is a reasonable enclosre for an 8 and some 10's for the frequency range that will be necessary. Obviously bigger volume is not easier therefore outlining a minimum makes sense. Definitely NET btw, discussing Gross volume is idiotic and off topic always.Well, I must have missed where it said this "I'm trying to come up with an idea for front stage that can keep up with four eighteens and sound clean and crystal clear doing so. Imaging as accurate as possible." That is everything, but pro audio. You're becoming too lenient now days lol. I'd still say just build the door the best you possibly can because any "mid" you toss in there will be beating the crap out of the door playing anything below 200hz when trying to keep up with 4 18's. He already agreed to the compromise. Real pro audio drivers CAN work, but they ALWAYS require a ported enclosure. Generally speaking I hate the whole desire of most people to utilize them because they don't understand the effort required to make them work. They suck donkey dick run IB. There is no midbass. A port of course helps this a ton. As we already discussed "keeping up" with 4 18's is going to mean you will spend WAY more on your front stage than the subs. That he made pretty obvious he wasn't willing to do. Now it comes down to blending with horns. If you want to do that in the midrange you either need a lot of drivers or something that has serious output. If you want to do it in midbass you need a lot of cone area. The latter just isn't a reality. He also isn't really after SQ...but doesn't want sounds like shit. Huge difference.

That kit is a fucking joke.

Beaner separator, lol. Seeds and non super dried shell aren't all that different in weight. Could get a bunch that way though. I am open to something that nearly powderizes though as it'll just rehydrate more easily.

I charge companies for acoustic help not people, lol -
Do NOT do that. If you are going to put a tweeter in some place have it be part of a component set. Randomly adding drivers will do nothing but get you a big ole mess.

That stuff will kill you smokey! The cigarettes yes, the reefer no. Camel paper smokey! It got the job done. It had to, I forgot my BHO and vape pen at home. <-obviously REALLY out of the loop. BHO? vape pen? BHO=butane honey oil. The butane is used as solvent for the extraction process as it is in liquid form when cold. but evaporates off rapidly once temp rises leaving only the thc and terpenes. The vape pen is an electric device that you can smoke the oil with. VERY convenient at work or in public as it has little to no smell. Great in non smoking hotel rooms too.and that shit is portable now? I feel like I lived in 1979 lol

I sell sound measuring devices that are over $150,000. More than 1 mic though. It is far from trival to measure sound. Yeah for spitting verses, mic check 1, 2... Usually the mics used for db measurement in car's is upwards of $300. $300, rofl. If you want a microphone and not a pressure transducer then you are looking at upwards of $8k. There are other options but the defacto standard in this domain is actually a hydrophone made by Bruel & Kjaer. Of course, just a low level standardized industrial measurement microphone will exceed $1k easily. Shit ain't cheap to make. -
You think they are going to take the step to turn the volume down when they won't take the step to turn it off????? I was somewhat joking. And the PAC is a POS. If you are going to use a pot at least pay for an ALPS Blue Velvet.

actually I don't used Frank's....but their commercials are awesome.

Probably. I have cards that are better that you could have had for free....thought el geeks at micro center might know a mirroring solution but alas they don't. Card is still sealed....but it was only $30Read up... https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/500277/sli/second-monitors-and-sli-2-monitors-with-different-resolutions-with-sli/ that is extend I need mirrorThat post on this forum is not what you are wanting? I am confused? Post said.. I have 460GTXs in SLI and I can run a 1920x1080 @ 120hz monitor and a 1680x1050 monitor @ 60hz at the same time with SLI enabled (both monitors plugged into the primary card). I can even game in 3d on the primary and still have the second monitor displaying Windows just fine. Sean wants the same desktop/GUI/interface mirrored on all displays. But some of his displays are a higher resolution than others. So it results in dead bands on his higher than 1080, display or fucked up look on the other displays im pretty sure its impossible. i was playing around with my setup. 1080p TV in the living room and a 1200p monitor at my computer desk. I use the PC to play movies and music and control it via a bluetooth keyboard/trackpad thing. Rather then mirror and waste the resolution on the monitor i just extend the displays and use a few easy keyboard shortcuts to move programs around. Alternatively you could just enable and disable mirror mode w/ the window key + p. Other key bindings like alt+tab to select the window and the window key + arrow buttons to move it between screens work pretty well. The same way I suggested but without SLI?sli has nothing to do with anything we're talking aboutThe post I stated said they had two resolutions with SLI..That is why I said is that what you were talking about W/O SLI.ANY video card will do two resolutions. He was EXTENDING his display not MIRRORING it. Huge difference. I've done what he's doing with el cheapo cards for years.

He last thing I'd worry about right now is the port. Getting a .75 cuft on your door isn't easy. Can't shop for drivers until you know what enclosure fits
-
Could easily blow your shit. I'd either add a volume pot at the plug in or a mechanical disconnect switch. Or course both are a waste in stupidity as shutting it off should happen when you are done listening anyways

na, it clearly states under the specifications; accuracy----+/-2db @ 94db spl, the microphone is electret condensor, it has a range of 30-130db, reference----0db=0.0002 micro bar and the weighting is a and c with a fast and slow display response. I've been using the c weighting as it responds to frequencies from 30-10,000hz. it doesn't say anywhere about it being type 2 or any specific type at all. it does have a signal output though, what could i hook that up to and what would it do differently than what it's already doing? type 2 does define a couple db AT 1000Hz but it sucks donkey on both ends. There is a reason acousticians buy $5-25k sound level meters. -
