My front bumper cover is fuxored too. Chipped like fucking hell. Needs to be resprayed

My car was almost gray pre-clay. I wore out 120g of clay cleaning it though and still have the lowers to do. Winter FUCKS up paint here.

Won't give you as deep of a finish as wax BUT you can wax over it to get that.

You hit it on the head, but clay will indeed make the finish look better. You can use it to remove water spots, overspray, baked on bug guts, bird crap, tar, etc. Clay makes it look WAY better. More importantly prepares you to actually hand wipe the car and not swirl it up.

So having it fully detailed once and then once a month or so follow ups are worthless? Just let it go and never do shit? What is the sweet spot? J Why bother with the detail if it'll look like crap shortly thereafter. Sweet spot is upkeep and in your climate that is easy. If you aren't that type, I'd just get in good with a full service car wash and get her clean. Couple times a year clay bar, polish and seal and call it good. No tools needed.

Haven't made a phone call yet so as long as it works as a phone I'd give the G4 a big hands up on the S6. The leather is a little chincy.

In Florida you'll get weeks out of a wax. Like 10 if that. Klasse High Gloss should be fine only done 2x a year.

If you pay someone you throw the money away IMO. First step in detailing a car is to decide you want to drive a detailed car. That of course means you fix it ALL the time. No more garbage in your truck, don't let ANY shit sit on the paint, and keep your carpet clean. Otherwise, just take your truck to a good full service car wash and for $30 it'll be clean. With no tools and limited time you could use that as a start and then just 2 bucket handwash real fast followed by a wet clay and rewash. Throw on a sealer by hand and call it done. If you treat your car like shit there is no reason to do more than that. I'd hand polish first, but that is an extra step.

Seriously J, you don't even need any power tools for what you describe. A detail like that here at a place that sucks donkey would be in the $200 range. A place that actually cleans your car puts you in the $400 range.
