weathertech SUCk compared to husky

Screw the rears and instead put an amp on the fronts. WAY, WAY, WAY better bang for the buck. What have you listened to you like?
-
I purchased a first year with the intent to sell it. Only the known injection issue so far. Mmm, first year SMG M5....
-
They don't ever retrofix unless it is a safety liability.
-
Exceptions to the rule can be mild refreshes. ie, no electronic package change and no new drivetrain. Who wants a first year 8 speed tranny? First year direct injection motor? First year drive by wire? ..and so on. A wash rinse repeat, who cares, but those are rare these days.

It is SO MUCH worse now than ever before. The stupid gubernment is putting all sorts of pressure on everyone to change everything for MPG. Structural components aren't strong enough, testing on drivetrain parts isn't done, all sorts of things occur. Hell I know of a car that had a boom like the GM, but the cure was to slap a 7lb brick in the tailgate. I've also seen structural steel components changed AFTER manufacturing has been going on for a while. The electronic ghosts are the worst ones though.

It is shocking how many which is why I recommended against it. From a guy who helps trouble shoot the NVH ones, it is nuts. GM has the MOST advanced NVH lab in the world, yet shit like this happens: http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/cadillac-forum/t-678953.htm http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/168815-2015-yukontahoe-ear-pressure-buffeting-problem-post-here/ http://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=70290 That is just a small NVH issue. The other shit I see dumbfounds me as well. Enough so I wouldn't ever buy one. Don't mean to sour your purchase, but there will be all sorts of nitnoys that pop up during its life. It happens with EVERY car manufacturer. The Germans may be the worst though.

Boxes look like they threw them off the truck in your driveway... I think that is sean who stacked them like that mike Indeed, my cart.

It is the laundry list of engineering changes between year 1 and 2 that scare me. They don't always surface as things that "cost" you.
-
You ok? All good, productive albeit annoying day. Got stuck in hell rain for a bunch of the drive and lake traffic 3x today.

What a day. Truck's tranny is meh, so I had my BIL loan me his F250 Diesel to tow my boat back. Got home - waxed it from the rub rail down. I'll do the rest on the water, lol. Launched boat, drove it to my slip. Neighbors boat in slip. Temp tied my boat, moved his boat, then proceeded to FALL right through the dock. Lost a Chaco sandal, got a wicked abrasion, and then had to fix the dock. Tied up my boat. Came back to the house, did a quick detail on my BIL's truck. Was a HUGE mess. He's a dairy farmer, he's going to shit. You can eat off any part of it now Quick shower and dinner and then back to Albany to return the truck. 90mi or so each way. When I get home tonigh I am going to crash.

need to order tires, the wheels came a week early and i cant drive the truck right now anyway

Figuring on 2600 extra lbs I would say the trailer, water, gas, engine fluids, and upgrades account for the weight Sean.Especially if you changed the seating from stock.Or that could be stock weight, and yours has upgraded packages.JI quoted the TOWING weight, not hull. Hull can't be more than 2k I thought. Engine/drive and fluids add up quick though. My seating is near stock. I double insulated one storage bin to create a 4' long cooler, but otherwise it is pretty stock. That is mostly foam with some glass and gel coat though so I wouldn't call it heavy. Also added a 4" riser to the seat which was a hunk of aluminum rectangle tubing. Then where does that extra 2600 lbs come from if the manufacturers numer is towing? Is it the same trailor it was rated with?Maybe you have kilos or cash in the tires or hull. It did come from the SW. J I'd live to know. Everyone with my boat says the sameGet it xrayed. Might pay off. J all of them are like that

Why would you clay glass? It's a waste of product. It's non-porous; there will only be surface contaminants. Save yourself a lot of time and some cash and buy some 0000 steel wool and some baby shampoo and distilled water in a sprayer. It's aquick, effective, abd removes everything without scratching.A long time ago i bought some aggressive glass clay. Been using it sincei also didnt know you could use steel wool on glass. I have 0000. Curious on the baby shampoo as well i normally just use sparkle You can use glass cleaner, but the baby shampoo is cheap. Get some from a dollar store and it will last you about 10 years. Add a couple drops to the spray bottle, fill with water, and voila. I used to do a lot of detailing as a side job and for the old man, so I like to use as little product and keep it cheap. plenty of baby shampoo at our house

I use the cheap Meguiars gel. I buy one of those curved applicators to apply, then let it sit for a couple hours, then rub it into the tire which also removes the excess. That is what I was using too.I don't mind a "wet" look either however. I like low gloss. I so badly miss that low gloss Armor-All formula from about 15 years ago. Stuff was great! that is exactly what i am looking for

The damn thing looks like a toy truck next to the boat. Kinda reminds me of the BMW X3. J only it was as big as an x5

I still miss the size of the AMG. It was really perfect. Big enough for a 2 week family trip, huge front buckets and enough seat for the boys in the backseat.

This is a better perspective
