Live he is wicked fun to watch, recorded to dissonant and confusing.
-
You should own Bitches Brew btw....and yes he plays on it
-
The other options are when it is NOT his band. ie, the late 60's Miles albums are fine. If you want to laugh, grab some Return to Forever....
-
Safest to pick when he plays with someone more classical. The live show with Herbie is more than acceptable, but there are other pianists I'd rather listen to.
-
Most of it will give you a headache. My Chick days are way past over, lol.
-
Pretty sure that I was the only one who knew who he was/owned any of his albums on the board, lol

All audio rules of thumb are a myth.

Is changing passive crossover same as changing headunit EQ?
///M5 replied to Florida_Audio's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
They put deadening on the parts that are dead and not on the parts that are sources of structure borne noise? Wtfbbq?? -

The settings are equally important. Any knob you can change would be good to know what it is at including the head unit settings.- 17 replies

Loud hissing sound when no music being played, is this normal?
///M5 replied to Florida_Audio's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Turn the gain down and see it goes away. Thermal noise is hiss and a sign the gain is too high....or the amp is a pos. Easy to test. -

Birch wood speaker spacer, need to be waterproofed?
///M5 replied to Florida_Audio's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
Except lighter so they need more mass. Definitely show be sealed. Theybdelaminate with Any moisture which defeats the purpose of having them in the first place -
SPR-60C , absolutely no midbass? maybe a tiny bit
///M5 replied to Florida_Audio's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
Any and everything that is adjustable along with pictures of the mounting. Baffle and deadening are a must for midbass. The alpines bolted into the stock mounting versus the stock speakers with a fixed install will be a downgrade.... -
That is insane.

Why is this amp so cheap? Pioneer GM-D8604 should be fine?
///M5 replied to Florida_Audio's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
So losing a channel is ok??? I am an amp is an amp guy but if it doesn't hold up I don't want it. Hell I am still running an amp I bought in the 80's.... -
