Wow, lots of catch up. I get on a plane, end up in Orange county and there are like 10 pages to read and Aaron bought a house. Congratulations Aaron, best move you can make. Hopefully I will have the same news next week! --I know Big Wang's alias too.

Not unlike the rest of my stuff it is old school too, even though if I knew now...I would have bought something else

That or my class A is either susceptible or something a bit wrong. Buzz's at idle.

I've got one already, but think a better one would help. There is some nasty azz power where I live

Obviously I have no life, or I got excited with your post Frosty. Switch 0.62 IEC Entry 7.98 Line Filter 11.49 Lugs 0.13 Outlets -- up to you::HD has some for a $1 Chassis -- $90 Looks to me like you could build a redneck one for the price of the line filter though. In other words, I ain't payin no $90 for an aluminum enclosure or $8 for a plug to take a standard cpu power cable.

Wow that looks easy, have you priced it out??

If yours is teh biggest, but mine is bigger do I call it teh bigger biggest?

Back to the Omni topic though, I have always wanted an '88 Ford SHOgun. I have a supercharger kit for one in my garage too. Would put me in the 400hp range in a Festiva. Too bad I can't find one.

Her friend has a shaved head ... Well you know your girl has to act like a beyotch in front of her lesbo-nazi woman power friends. Even though that whole back and forth was over the top. Sounds menstrual. How was she the next time you were alone?

Gotta like the deal. How quick does it become when you build it up? Staying naturally aspirated?
-
Sweet. Gotta love the trusting Minnesotan to put his phone number right up on the auction too.

Aargh. Now this is the sh1ts. I finally get my stereo installed in my car and it snows and makes the roads icy. The next day I buy a snowmobile. Then the snow melts, but the ice stays. Without winter shoes my nearly bald zummer radials can't hang. I can't drive my car or my sled right now. I am frustrated!

Instead maybe I'll mix a drink

Hey, couple quick ones to help: -what amp/s are you using -are you talking 2 since your question is plural -what is your front stage

Brutally slow, hard to look at anything. Must resist urge to smash cable modem...

Sea foam has always scared me, exclusively because it looks generic and sounds like an old wives tale product. Heard it works though.

Dang, wild hair again. I have a 60wx2 chn Adcom amplifier sitting in my closet and think I found a use for it. I am looking at building these near field monitors to be used as cpu speakers. I will probably add a plate amp and an rli8 or something that boxes even smaller to go with them. Should I do it? http://www.zaphaudio.com/audio-speaker20a.html http://www.zaphaudio.com/audio-speaker20b.html I like these for the size, simplicity, and the fact that the crossover is optimized for near field listening. I pulled out an old (real old) Kenwood car audio dual amp balancer that I am stripping apart to use as a volume knob. Just use a potentiometer from the shack and bang, call it a pre-amp (attenuator) and I should be good.

Dennis, your welcome. One other thing that I didn't point out, the really good pro audio cards don't resample the analog either. Meaning if you have a 192kHz source they will play it back. If you start looking for a analog out card PM or post and I will send you links where you can do research. There are more cpu audio forums than car audio ones. People modding sound cards and such, it is pretty wacky. Or spending $10k on a headphone amplifier????

At least he can live in his van.

Send it my way, it will give me a reason to go for a ride.

That should work for most things and be superb for gaming. The only reason to pay more for one would be to improve the A/D's for recording and D/A's for analog playbook. CPU boards can have some crazy good ones but you need to visit the pro audio spectrum to get into those and for a laptop they are spendy. What are you connecting it to? Because if it is to your stereo and you use the digital SPDIF of the Audigy, it will be as good as your receivers D/A's are which is a great option. Note that proaudio sound cards are usually pretty crappy for gaming. I use my onboard 5.1 for gaming, and send two channels analog for being a jukebox to my stereo. My pre-amp is old skool like the rest of my gear so I needed to buy a card with good D/A's. Also going to dub my vinyl collection to CD/HD that way. Enjoy the Audigy.

Or just sign him up for treatment, a little more political than getting Johnnie Law involved and will probably have better results. Good luck!
