Beware though. Don't just blindly set your gains or eventually you will hurt something. As an example, I have a 75w amp on my tweets set the gain at 20 and have turned it way down from there. Use a DMM or a REALLY WELL TUNED ear, clipping isn't always so easy to pick up.

Easy to check crossover, play back a 60Hz tone to set your gains with. Then play a 500Hz or 1k and see what it outputs.

As well as I have seen a mismarked vc before as well which could cause your problem if it is only one, if you apply a DC voltage to each coil independently do they both move the cone the same way?

Great transaction with Johnecon2001. Bought an amp from him, it was shipped promptly, came on time, his description was accurate, and it works great. I have to comment on the great packaging too. The dumazz's at Fedex decided to leave it at my house while I wasn't home in the rain without a cover. It was packaged so well it didn't even get wet and had enough padding that those monkeys could have thrown it all over the place and it would still be okay. I can't wait to finish the install.
