But its GM so it was noticeable.

My gut is the people who want the big ones will probably also think going active is a good solution. You could have a limited run of high quality passives perhaps in a nice box or custom case as well.

I have come so close to buying one, but haven't found one in dirty enough shape. I need to hack it up so I can fit and I don't really want to do it to a pristine one, the best would be to find one that was owned by some basketball player and had the installed "big man kit".

Never guess my two fav's: This one has my engine! And this I need to own one of: edit: html>me

Are they mostly in Texas?

What difference does it make, it is a pretty small state.

Anyone that is hiring should need you.

Rock on. ALWAYS the best to work for yourself, nearly a pre-requisite for me.

Finally had a second to read it, nice review. Particularly like, "my personal ideals about these two vehicles, coming into this test, were reaffirmed, but yet adjusted a little" seems to be a nice compliment to the Caddy. In reading it I felt like I would share similar experiences if driving them. I haven't driven a new 530 (but have driven the new M) and know the chassis and finish is great and I also have driven a couple of CTS's and both times couldn't believe what a hunk of #!)*&% it was in comparison. Nice to see GM moving the line in the right direction though:)

Here is a good "how to guide" http://www.diymobileaudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=27

Might be an expensive month. I need rims/tires for the M, and I think I am going to buy a different pickup. I was just about to put a system in my truck, but noticed all the rust starting to get bad and really don't want to spend days doing bodywork. Now I just need to find a good 4x4, ext cab, fullsize in the $8k and under range--preferably a ways under but it can have high miles as I won't really drive it all that much.

Welcome onboard, what's the new car?

Mmm, pull tab love.

Ive thought and thought and thought on this......i keep coming up with the same thing. If you have big bills that HAVE to be paid IE house/car/loans....its a scary proposition. If you have nothing to lose, then i say go for it. Not too scary when you realize that 20% of the American public make more than 80% of the wages. I'd actually say a little debt is good as it is a righteous motivator.

But its so ugly and consumer reports has never been right about anything. All heresay bs. Sort of like following JD Power's "Initial Quality Survey" who the F cares what breaks right away under warranty. What I care about is when it costs money to fix what breaks. Notice the CR list was all Japanese...tell me that isn't biased.

Happened to me on one of my pc's, some setting that I couldn't find. Deleting the cookies on your pc will restore the normal views though.

Key word -- was. Nice work so far, looking forward to the end product.

Your kicks look great Steve, and oh how I hate Napolean complexers.

Sitting on the couch is all I feel like doing. Put on 100mi on the sled yesterday mostly on bumpy atv trails, really feel like sitting and have a lot to do. Maybe I will look for a new truck....

Enjoy, can't say that I am jealous.

Well it was $299/$429... Delta/Omega -- though don't be surprised if the prices adjust some... I assume that it would work fine active as well? What just for the drivers?

It is a Zimmerman, really shouldn't be the part; however, BMA boxed two sets of rotors with newspaper to fill out a larger box. The interior box that was holding the rotors together had broken the bottom out, broken the mondo retaining straps and let the rotors shake around and rotate in the box. The thing weighed a frickin' ton as well since these aren't little. I am sure the main part of the rotor smacked into the bolt area and it broke. What am not sure is how the heck they managed to play catch with a 60lb box. Must have "dropped" it off the plane or something absurd.

Uncovered the sled? Which engine in the mneer?

Mostly Basically hanging on for dear life at that point. 65-70 is where it likes to go for long distances. Def needs shocks then. After 170k I finally yanked off the stock set for some Rancho's and it made my beater feel brand new. Of course, I tow my boat faster than that for long distances.

Now just change the induction or add some happy gas to go with the look!
