Ha, amusingly I was training my team today on IFS. (SAP competitor). We just changed. HQ changed 9 years ago and almost have it working. We started discussions 3 years ago with a goal of going live in 3 months, but I derailed the whole process fixing the bullshit mess they made. It isn't SAP that is slowing you guys down, but a shitty implementation led by finance that doesn't understand that you do more than finance in your company. Amazing how stupidly short sighted those people are. The only bummer is with our implementation I may have just managed to net myself some more world wide responsibility for leading the charge in the other business units that need to convert on over. And I say FUCK THAT!!

Your idea of amazing has a really low level of entry... You are going to need one heck of a processor to get anything out of those. FT1's have no use in ANY install.

There is no crossover that will make that combo sound good. Even with a $300 processor you are going to have huge uncorrectible gaps in the frequency response. To get this to work you need a real tweeter. The ft1 wont cut it.

No, maybe and yes. NEVER buy based on extra capability but instead focus on the extra capability YOU need. Ie, if you dont know what you are missing then the extta proc will not make any difference. So that being said what fo you want to improve?

8 bands is generally enough but ONLY if they are the right 8 bands. In the case of the JL the graphic bands are nowhere near in useful locations.

Perhaps some experience with tuning would help here. Your 80 bands give you 2 graphic eq per tweet in REALLY crappy frequency locations. Absolutely useless. They monstrously failed on the eq side. And yes, I do realize there is also a parametric eq but we were discussing use for noobs and that functionally doesn't mix. For $100 the miniDSP KILLS it in capability. Obviously only 4 channels then, but if you were comparing to the JL's 8's you could just run the sub in parallel with no eq and headunit crossover and have the exact same results as the JL proc. That is lame.

Step by step, automatic, all are fails. So is the limited 10band eq. When they are on the used market for $150 the JL proc will be an okay compromise, but until then I'd rather not.

The AMG experience soured me. CPO or not that shit is spendy. Never used to be that way.
