    Welcome to the IHoP

It really is terrible. Only 10k miles and it wanders all over the road, has no power, and handles like a turd on wheels.

    Welcome to the IHoP

But it doesn't seem to have the neutral drop lock out like a lot of newer cars do. I didn't spin 'em hard though, just dickin' around in the parking ramp at the hotel

    Welcome to the IHoP

And by slow screw, I do not mean a mix of OJ, Sloe Gin, and Vodka.

    Welcome to the IHoP

If you are a slow screw, we could just dick around for a couple hours.

For temporary I'd do what you are doing, I thought it was an enclosure you wanted to keep and run for a while. Had you warned me I could have brought an analyzer and mic and could put it through its paces.

    Welcome to the IHoP

Well she-i-o I thought this was more permanent, but tunable. In that case duct tape and some modelling clay is your friend.

I'd still use a more firm mounting removable back plate and have different volume plugs to stick on the inside to compensate the volume. It would be much easier and you'd be confident in the seal then.

How often are you going to change?

    Welcome to the IHoP

I thought you were trying to make it infinitely variable...

    Welcome to the IHoP

Wouldn't be easier to make the back portion removable via bolts and have some sort of volume compensator to fill up the unused portion of the enclosure? At the moment, all I get is a headache when I imagine a high excursion driver battling some funky walleye-rigged seal. If the back bolted off, it would be easy to have different volume fillers to put in the enclosure....

Thinking about putting a set of these coaxs in my car. Details found here: http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/showthread....8273#post948273
  22. I feel ya on that. I have one of the original Punch 150s that I haven't used in years now. I hook it up every now and again to make sure it still works and other than that it sits in the closet. This little Orion might become a partner to the P150 on the shelf. I've got one of those on my tweets.
