Allright, anyone else have a HU with active crossovers they want to sell me? I guess I need it ASAP.
-
Hello and goodnight.
-
I see j00 guys here, but no-one is posting.
-
*starts looking for another used HU* *realizes, chit my blog now has false values in it*
-
As I stated in PM, perhaps it is cleaner it happened today instead of tomorrow when I would pick it up.
-
I have been in Jim Winey's personal home stereo room (he owns Magneplanar) and heard his full 5 chn setup and holy chit did they sound good. Not quite a line array accross the board, but his full height tweets sound tits.
-
meh I got resin on my shorts As my dad would say, "looks like an inside job to me."
-
Lasers are only legal if they shoot you within a 1000' of the laser gun. If you don't see the cop by then you deserve a ticket.
-
Dude, do you even drive? It is really easy to get one ticket that will exceed that. Especially if you count insurance. If it saves you once usually they are paid for.
-
V1, the new Bel/Passport 9500 about the same but really the only ones to buy. $330-400
-
It is illegal in about 5 states, one of them of course is friggin' MN!! Puckers.
-
Slowing down when you see a cop is NOT probable cause.
-
A lot of states????? Incorrect, only 2 and DC.
-
the newer ones have no problem cloaking themselves. It seems in VA radar detectors and radar jammers are illegal, but radar detector detector jammers are not. In less words you can have a detector that jams their capability to detect that you have a radar detector, but you can't have the radar detector itself.
-
j00 don't understand them then, they will interfere with each other regretably; and yes, even the good ones.

Scratch the last one, THIS IS MY NEXT CAR
///M5 replied to Aaron Clinton's topic in Automotive and Performance
I drove an AMG version of the CLS as my uncle had one for about two weeks. He hated it though. Not really the car, just the fact that they really slant the roof and make it tough for larger people to be in. I think they are sweet though and would love one, especially a Brabus. -
Yep. Of course running active you will need separate channels for the mids and horns.
-
I should have read better, but eh at least your fine on the crossover.
-
EQ most definetely, the mids you can be flexible but in your case something with serious output would help, if you are lucky your HU will have enough crossover if not almost any offboard one will work but you could surely combine that with the EQ.
-
I'd never use them, but they will be the loudest thing you can mount by far. Typically they are super effecient and can handle a heck of a lot of power. That and with the large horn they get loud. I am not really into LOUD systems, but since that seems to be your only requirement what the hell. I was serious about the horns up front though. Sell your components and get a set, that would be the easiest way to keep up with your subs and unlike your other options you could still maintain some semblance of SQ even at high volumes.
-
Only of course if you have been wearing them for a while.
-
If you want it loud, get some horns. If you want it really loud mount PA horns in that enclosure behind you, it will allow you to go deaf nearly as fast as you like.
-
Since you don't care about SQ it would at least be easy. Just make sure to put a little enclosure around them otherwise your MT's might make them blow. That and your sound would be coming from behind you. Do you have something against using them in the stock locations? IMO that would sound better....
