Contemplating the contents of the next mini-project and getting ready to cook up some chx fried steak/biscuits/p. gravy but I am going to use NYstrip instead of butt steak.

Wish those little TB Neo subs were a bit cheaper, one of those and a little 3" full range might make a neat deck speaker but it nearly doubles the price.

Ryan, I lost you there but I have to run to the store. Will be back later.

Unless someone wants to sell me something else for less, the budget "fix my buddies" outdoor speakers are going to be: http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cf...tnumber=295-305 and http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshowdetl.c...275-030&scqty=2 For a total of $50 shipped, or about $85 total with crossover.

That is sweet, so much friggin' easier than what I just went through.

Thanks for the offer of help Ryan! With the set of tools I have I am going to stick with the 45 degree, but what size will now depend on the rest of the box.

Of course my dumb arse had to use Geometry to figure that out. Might have something to do with the keg party for my bro in law last night...

Using 3/4" MDF. If I switched to 12" with a 6" rise it does get easier---45

Anyone ever built a pyramid? I need 16" square with a 6" rise, but am getting a headache thinking about the angle I need to use on the edge of the board to make them fit snug. Basically I cut 4 triangles with 16" on one end and 12.8" long for the other two sides, but then have to bevel the edges to get them to laydown together. I suppose I could overdo the angle and just backfill, but there has to be an easier way.

Check the ground on your amp, see if any of your speaker wires go to ground, and turn down your gains then let us know what happened.

I need a drawing/drafting program as I don't have anything that will work and am sick of doing it by hand.
