I know you already have those, but just to give you an idea. With some wicked eq'ing, we managed to get just two of these to run at 138dBA from 2kHz-15kHz. I had to bypass the protection circuit and wire in a different one, but nonetheless BRUTAL output. Not only did we get the output that high, but it was averaged throughout the room albeit a reverb chamber that is 20x30x15. http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshowdetl.c...FTOKEN=97328002 That is why I recommended just going with a pro audio compression driver. They are specifically made for wicked output. To simplify things, I'd return what you ordered and go with something similar. Note, I am not a big Peavey fan but the customer I was working with had a relationship with the rep who would guarantee we could get 140db out of them. We did blow a couple pairs figuring out how to, but I had the rep over at the time and we rebuilt them and worked it out. 111db efficiency and can play down to match with almost any midbass. I'd buy one pair of these or a better compression driver and run some 8" midbass that can play up to 1.4kHz with them. It will make your crossover and powering questions much, much easier. EQ on the other hand, no but since you are just looking for loud wtf. -
I've never competed in anything so the rules>me. I would like to enter the truck perhaps, but should figure out what the SQ sanctioned rules are for around here. I actually haven't seen any comps listed...

And the price was right, I got her free! One of my customers had it in a store house they were going to throw it away, he had me take it out the back door.

My last guess, but the engine options don't sound quite right. An International Scout.

Tom how much eq do you have on your 8's?
-
get me lance armstrongs heart while you're at it
-
Not exactly the sweet spot for American cars, so my guess is import.
-
Does not make me feel like calling customers.
-
when you find a good deal on a new set let me know, I will take a pair too.

Welcome, the project sounds fun and look forward to the pics.

I can't wait to move as I am going to do something similar as well. I have this Crown just waiting to belch out 995 at 8 ohms or 965 at 2 <--weird specs but eh, it will be flexible enough to rip up some ground rumbling notes in my house.

I am feeling a similar chest cold. Frustrating to say the least.

Since none of us have used one yet it is hard to recommend. My gut feel is that you can surely make it work. Lol on the Maxima. I read your post and for some reason thought you had a Maxima, but re-read it two more times and missed it so I had to ask. So to answer you mmray, us bm'er guys read but obviously too fast to comprehend everything.

Safer than a crack whores weekend.

Denim he is bridging it though....if you weren't bridging I am sure it would be fine.

Never used a Memphis crossover, but if the adjustments and slopes are there I would assume they would be just fine.

I just had to look 3 ohm impedance is correct, as for resistance I am sure they are lower but that matters not only impedance. I do not have experience with the 4065, if it isn't overated you could have a slight problem. On the same note if you set your gains a bit conservative so you aren't running full power out of it and she doesn't get hot it might be okay. I didn't recommend before though because I am not sure on the I/S's at all.
