Excited to read myself. *didn't realize there was a tracker forum*

What does a vacuum forming machine look like?

Yes and Yes, That is the plan for the next house, but for now the mortage hits my account like a sledge hammer every month ($1781 IIRC). I feel for ya big fella. Well, I have a few years to be prepared for the next house. When Arthur is in 5th grade is when we will start looking again. Why 5th grade?

Friggin' stickers all over it or so it seems. Its funny in Europe most of the cars (real cars) are debadged.

Maybe today I will pull the labels off the truck.

Is it much different than working with FG?

begs the question, what sort of supplies?

What you need is a garage and I need a bigger one than I have, it would solve a lot of troubles.

Sorry to hear your frustrations, but I know exactly what you mean. Every car I have ever had has come to something like that. Part of the reason I bought the M, 4 door that behaves like a 2 door. I too have been thinking about redoing the install in it though. The damn trunk is a bass trap, I'd love to go IB but won't tear up the car, so perhaps either a bandpass piped in through the ski pass or a sealed box with a baffle connected to the ski pass is what might happen next. I won't have anytime to do chit though until I move which might be a while.

What's happening Aaron? Been out in the Brab lately?

Anyone have a thought on the Mosquito Magnets and whether they work or not? My pops just called since they are going to mark down the floor models and I can get one for about %50 off.

/\ pretty decent description I think, I haven't read it though.

You basically build a compensating circuit in your crossover to limit the output at the frequencies that are affected by your baffle.
-
/\ and expensive to implement, but I already have the analyzer and microphone.

It does make me wonder what the "weighting" curve for a TL mic is. I am not even sure Termlab knows though as they surely don't post chit on their site. I'd like to use a real mic to correlate to TL results as it wouldn't be that hard if I knew the waiting curve. And no matter what their site says, my method would be way more repeatable.

As you know, my background really isn't in lots of installations or tons of practical knowledge but I did work for Bruel & Kjaer for five years doing acoustic consulting...

It is a problem with measurement mics too, which is why most real measurement mics are 1/2" or smaller. The real high frequency mics are only an 1/8" and of course measurement mics have correction curve electronic filters to compensate for having multiple wavelengths on the diaphragms as well.
-
If you have a one foot wavelength coming out of a speaker it will be a spherical source which is the response you are looking for out of a speaker, but when you get to high frequencies you get the wavelengths to stack up constructively and then you have amplification at those frequencies.

I was going to whore away this AM, but you guys showed up. SO TYPE SOMETHING.

Just noticed the quote, it does taste like ass....not from eating any either. Close though, the other hole was inches away.
