By on axis I would mean pointing at your ears, off axis would be how many degrees away from your ears. Are you building custom kicks just for the drivers you pick?

I love that picture.

Why loudspeakers should all be rated at 1W/1m

Thanks for clarifying, I was trying to err on the conservative side. -
How relaxed and how on/off axis will it be?

haven't even finished the truck yet. Of course, all I need is carpet. I hate pulling flush mount drivers once they are installed as I pull a retard move and scuff it always. Effin Rlp is heavy too.

Great subs that never should have been discontinued....

I just walked into my basement and saw my 1500gti and nearly posted myself. I do have to find a use for the beast. -

Slightly subjective, no?

Only wrong part was you assumed it was going to be larger (I know it was discussed) and that wasn't clear in your answer. There is also some leeway in the word substantially. It could be possible to make the box larger, increase the port area, and still have to add length to compensate or perhaps not. The truth in your statement is larger box with the same port area has a shorter port for the same frequency, but once you change more than one variable it depends on which one you change the most. I originally read your reply as no change to the box, just make the port area larger and the length shorter.

Ryan said it right. Prep is by FAR the most important. The most frustrating as well...along with sanding and more sanding and more sanding and more sanding and more sanding and more sanding and more sanding and more sanding and more sanding and more sanding and more sanding and more sanding and more sanding and more sanding and more sanding and more sanding.

And sorry Tom, one of them is not how to set up active crossovers. I'd really like to spend some time on that one as it will be critiqued by a ton of people and want it to be spot on. Currently I am not sure how many parts to split it into, so many things to consider and possibly alter. Recreating what I have gone through a few times isn't as easy as doing it all over, but I don't have time right now. I also think it will be stronger if I include measurement data but have my analyzer rented out to a customer for a couple months. (for $47k btw) going to go mudding on the snowmobile this weekend. Eff the hi-fax, I have a spare!

My work day will never end!! Trying to finish a couple write ups for the site too

It is a rather big undertaking for someone who hasn't done it before. Personally the only whole car I painted was my 59 beetle, but I took everything off of it and smoothed the whole car. It is pretty easy to paint then as it didn't require the taping of anything. Other than that I have just done repairs on driving boo boo's or rust spots which are a much easier undertaking. If you think sanding a box for paint is tough, wait until you try a whole car.

I've got a bit of bad news. One of my favorite auto makers is going to the Middle East it looks like. http://www.just-auto.com/article.aspx?ID=90691&lk=dm I was really liking them being owned by Ford too.

Zipzoom has screwed me in shipping a couple times. Promised in stock, paid for 2 day delivery and then it took a week to get out. The Egg has also done me well.

Newegg is the PE of computer parts, if you don't know them you should.

/\ they probably have better brands, I just did a really quick search for SD reader and sorted on price. That one was the cheap one.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16820240002 Almost $10 with shipping, but it would be better than 30.

Must be operator error, I can't believe that you had Raamat troubles. The adhesive works really well and it comes off the paper fine. Of course, I have only used 7 total rolls so perhaps there is some fluctuation but I have never seen it.
-
longer port you mean. For the same tuning in a box with the same net airspace, the larger port area port will be longer than the one with less area.
-
Not quite sure how you managed to get your hands so dirty with the Raamat. I put my last batch on in hotter weather than you describe and used three and a half rolls, my hands weren't nearly as dirty as yours. I am amazed at how well it sticks to, my amp rack is actually glued to the Raamat and it is holding the whole rack up fine.
