They'd normally have more, but were unpacking from a show last night (out of all places Minneapolis and the fvckers didn't invite me). :

Hovland. And indeed it is Madisound. I hung out with Adam for a few hours and heard pretty much every kit they have. The Fostex 120's are unbelievable for the price. On music I didn't really like them, but on plain female vocals they destroyed the Seas Thors/Odins behind them. I have a newfound appreciation for full range drivers....go Jim!

Not the best picture, but I didn't ask permission and spent almost 3 hours in the room. Adam left to get another set of speaks so I thought time to shoot a pic...

Link? I will rip them arse.

I would really like to know as well as I will "try" to make it.
-
And then I have to get ready to drive. Boo.

I can't live with either. I can try to help the rational, but it isn't quite the same.

You can amortize it over your life time. How many $4 coffees do you need to buy to pay for a $2k machine/grinder combo? I know it is easy math, but only 500 which to me would be less than a year. Of course I am not counting the price of beans/milk then either but it will still work out quickly. As soon as I move, I am buying a home roaster as well so that I can roast in small batches. That too is an investment, but will also pay for itself not only by making the coffee cheaper but better and will allow complete customization of the extraction.

I'd see what you could hang in his doors in an IB installation. Way easier to seal off the door than the rear deck and in particular with the midbass any brand that does the job will be fine. Matching acoustic signatures below 500hz isn't nearly as big of a deal. If I had a three way none of the drivers in my car would actually be the same brand. I typed XLS before but the SLS is still available. Not as great of a midbass driver as the XLS, nor does it have the top end of the HDS but it would make quite an impact for just having midbasses instead of a substage.

I used a cheap wet saw from HomeDepot. The crap ass Workforce one. On sale it was $60. The local tile store wants $2 a cut otherwise...

Great subs that never should have been discontinued....

I hadn't planned on letting it go anyways, but I'd like its twin back. I used to have triplets -
Hmm, I have to drive through Madison today.......

Not an issue. I'd say go for it as I really like the hidden from view. Having the amps on the back wall of the truck IMO is the best place for that reason as well.

Sorry to hear about your Tore Ass Ryan.

Why not put some 8" midbass/sub drivers in his doors IB and forget the subs. I think that would do more than he needs and really sound the best anyway. That way you could have them play up to 300-400hz to blend with the front stage while still providing enough low end grunt for someone who is just into SQ. I'd try the Peerless XLS 8's in the doors

Have fun with that Jim.

I do realize that mine are marble but the week that I chose to do it that is what was on sale, not the granite.
-
Those look like granite tiles from home depot that are 1'x1' and a buck a piece on sale. I covered my fireplace with those.

Chit off to visit customers.

nope, no on axis listening. And while i don't have a lot of experience with this, if i had to say what the sound was that i didn't like, i'd call it airy. The only reason i didn't use it is because everyone uses that word like it's a good thing. I felt like it almost made the sound too crisp, i prefer a warmer sound. Hmm, thinking of removing my Excels and making little bookshelves or perhaps large TL speaks the detail sounds like a match. Then the car might get a pair of the Usher mids.

You usually use thin grout lines for granite/marble tile. It actually looks a lot like my fireplace which I covered in granite.
-
Hey, I am not knocking it and actually for chits and giggles it sounds fun!

Its DD's reccomended box, so I said what the hell, why not? I'm not sure on how its gonna work, but for a 30 dollar sub, 20 dollar plywood, and a 17 dollar amp, I won't be outmuch if it all fails. Yea, it'll prob be 'stone paint. I am sure it won't fail in its purpose of making bass, but my goal is never to just make bass though.
