Is your water open enough to chase sluggish bass yet Ramos?
-
Pfft, like you need only 1 pair of speakers.
-
How can you have room for 4 7's and not 1 8?
-
Yes but they are all married. One shouldn't be for long, but she is sort of the black sheep of the family so she might anyway. Only 2 of the 6 were younger...
-
Can you run 8's? If so, are you opposed to a 3 way?
-
LOL she have any sisters? 6 of them, 4 brothers as well.

Even my w commented. Asked me if I was horny after the commercial.

A pair of Xetec's would work as well then.

If you buy a premade crossover it will be just the same as designing a generic one. If you choose your drivers with crossover cost in mind you can get away with some real shallow sloped crossovers that are simple and also cost effective. It would be best if you could do a few measurements though. Using a generic design is never a good choice in my book.

I sort see the $10 price point then jump to a bit over $30 per tweet in the Seas Prestige or Morel MDT20 and of course up from there. The advantages of the more expensive tweet will pay for themselves when you design the crossover unless you really skimp on x-over components.

I'd just use some speaker fabric or a grill.

Same buildhouse, but the Aura has a titanium dome that is supposedly much better than the Dayton.

I want an 8 chn amp.

I assume you still haven't heard a really well setup front stage only vehicle then. If you use the same budget with or without the rear spending the extra on the front it will always sound better and if your "better" requires louder that is possible as well. As for my currently installed drivers the M5 has Seas W18E and the Scan D2904/6000. The truck I am running Seas CA18RNX, LPG 25nfa, and an SS Rlp12". At the moment I am toying with a couple drivers for a different substage in the car (used to have the Rlp) as well as perhaps a complete system change partly driven by my desire to build the Excels into some bookshelves.

Where is your headunit grounded to?

Either combo will complement them fine, but if it were me I'd take the 3 10's over that 12. I assume the mids are going in your doors? Make sure you don't skimp on the deadening and install if you want them to complement each other the best. I wouldn't heed shimano/falcons advice either. You really shouldn't be running another set in the rear off the same crossover either. Having anything in the rear collapses your sound stage and if you do a good job on the installation of the front pair you won't need a second set for midbass reasons.

oh at 2am its probably good for you
-
I mean the lack of Sonic.
-
Probably better for you.

I'd recommend picking a tweeter that will go deeper than necessary to help simplify the crossover. On the flip side, if you are on an extreme budget the new Aura NT1 seems to be winning the under $10 tweeter recommendations, but it may make the x-over more expensive. Speaking of, do you have any measurement gear for measuring the drivers to design the crossover?
-
If you can get away with building them flush mount I would.

Has happened a bunch lately.
