My Uncle with all of the fun toys owns a pharmacy.

I think I am going to take an afternoon break and visit some places with used gear.

After 32 beers on the lake I could care less as well. I normally try to grab the originals that I am going to listen to that day, but like to keep a much more complete selection with me in case I get the urge to...

It does seem to bastardize everything to have an SQ setup and ask for mp3. For the sake of carrying lots of music though it is nice, especially on a boat where stuff seems to float away periodically.

Matt, According to my pc you should watch for mail on Friday. Hopefully unlike the last this will make it there.

If anyone wants to be rid of a headunit that does active, let me know. The M is donating its crossover to bookshelf design and needs a headunit. I would prefer one that does mp3's since it will probably end up in my boat when I finally save up for an offboard processor for the car.

I gots mad bass yo ( I couldn't help myself ) I was expecting I got spawning smallmouth bass yo.

anyone know where i can get a 3khz passive crossover?

You really shouldn't just use a generic crossover. And before someone can build you one you need to measure the impedance curve and frequency response of both your tweeter and mid. -
Sweet.

At 60Hz the wavelength of sound is almost 19ft. I'd worry a heck of a lot more about mid to mid cancellation than sub to mid. To cure or check that I'd try to swap out the polarity on one pair of mids and see if it is better or worse. Turn down that crossover until they can't take it anymore and then turn it up just a hair. Easy to check sub cancellation too, turn it on and off and see what is different. While you are doing it swap the polarity as well.

Not find, either make or run speaker wire and go active.

I've got a cheap ass Ibanez bass, a real old original Roadstar Axe with the floyd rose, and a 56 Gibson L5.

The 22's are related, but not sure on the 26's. For me at that point, I am really interested in one of these: http://www.madisound.com/cgi-bin/index.cgi...2057&pid=95 or if you could squeeze the cabinet space: http://www.madisound.com/cgi-bin/index.cgi...57&pid=2096 Aura may call them subs, but they have a nice response to over 1k. A little trickier on the crossover end then the CA's paper cone though. edit: link

I'd like to see a pic of them installed in the LPG cups if possible.

Definitely nice for a C class.

I can think of other ways to be loud...

Snowing here. WTF???? Scrap the 5x7's man.

With 300w I'd definitely grab a MAW-12!
-
well actually not really...i did have a problem with them when they played at 4.5khz the music sounded empty and it was just terrible. lol but then i gota 2.5khz passive and everything was all good except my tweeter cant play that low lol (CAL25 AK)...now when i play piano music i get this awful static noise coming from my tweeter. maybe if i bump them up to 3khz everything will be all good to go. You have other problems Flakko, get rid of those ill fitting passives and go active.
-
Or if you are careful with your circle jig you can just press fit them.

Not fair. I love topwater. At least I live in the part of the country where you can still use topwater all day in the middle of the summer or pretty much all year once it is a bit warm and before it cools too much.
