Just the tweeter chassis alone is a ton of work:
-
build that at home lol.
-
If you look for matrix construction they should have all sorts of info on their chassis. I have a nice color bound book and some marketing DVD from them that shows the whole building process. Lots of work with our lasers in the video as well.

Even though it will be much better than square you will still have interference and standing waves in an enclosure like that.
-
If the house we buy ends up having two rooms separated by pillars, I might have to copy you on those.
-
Not that Wichita is near anything though. Man is that a drive to get there (from here)
-
Gotcha, not exactly on the way to anywhere...
-
what direction is home from Manhattan?
-
Right on. You were part of the reason I thought about rescheduling to. Much easier to drive by if I am in the state for a week.
-
Any idea what timeframe you'll be in KC? I have to buy tickets this week sometime, but I will let you know. I may reschedule that lag though so I go down to Wichita as well. I really need to make some visits there.

Explains your comments in the Challenger thread

wtf does the topic "line level..." have to do with a summing circuit. You need to stop using frigging dots and ask an actual question.
-
Which headunit do you have? I didn't realize it was an active capable head.
-
They were so badass nobody bought them and they had to stop making them.
-
I'd agree for now, but they are different budget solutions altogether. In the future there should be no reason not to be able to have all the processing that any offboard proc has onboard though.
-
A line level could be mono. Generically speaking line level describes the strength of an audio or electrical signal that is transmitted down a wire.
-
I don't understand your question, but there are variations in output level of devices that you would call line level. For example look at headunit specs, some reach up to 8v and others 2v.
-
but it is 10db up and then has nasty harmonics at 8k, 98k, 10k and 11k which aren't as easy to deal with as the single peak of the mag cones.

Comes down to graphic versus parametric eq. I really like the l/r eq of the 880. The 9831 and 8053 are both para eq though. Personally I'd like both. Parametric to help the install and graphic to help the recording. Looks like I need processor solution then. Happy Easter!

grrr. USPS doesn't say chit. If it isn't there Monday I am going to be mad though.

That is what I want them for
