His is a 3 way with Coustic 4" mids and Extremi in the doors. It would definitely be a good starting place to have a listen as from owning mine and knowing what is in his it should surely be either sweet or a stellar start on the way.

I'd quit my job for that if I could truly get paid to do it

Nice job Ryan. A note for you on negotiating, always let them make the first offer.

I have a problem with your question in the first place. An SQ sub setup will have the most pleasant frequency response to the ear, note I didn't say flat since there is a slope associated with everyone's curve of preference but nonetheless it will have a smooth and pleasant response to the ear. For an SPL setup it is the opposite as you are really looking for the most peaky response that you can possible get. While it is possible to create a box alignment that does one or the other they are pretty much the opposites. Of course to have a driver that is designed for either would also then basically be a driver designed for an opposite style enclosure. Either way it is going to come down to the install. That being said, I too am of the I prefer the w6 to the w7 sound. I have heard both in near optimal sealed enclosures and would choose the 6. I will add I have heard neither ported and also neither were setup anywhere near for SPL. This really comes down to what you are looking for and of course on either end of the spectrum there are drivers that will do either configuration much better.

Wicked vid. J. I have no clearance, but sign a lot of non-disclosures. Some things that I see on a daily basis I can only see little pieces of. Fun stuff either way.

The second set is a useless bandaid, in a few years the discussion of imaging tweeters and caps will be in the same sentence.

In some areas, in others you need some clearance. Perhaps the acoustic lab where they regularly do acoustic fatigue testing on metal at >180db

Summer is tough since it is a flight and not a drive, but perhaps in the fall. I have a really good pair of friends in Baltimore and family in Annapolis both of which are rather short drives away.

In Manhattan? I am on the last leg of my 6 month hell tour. This week I am in Detroit, next at home (wtf?) and the follwing in Chicago. After that I have nothing on my schedule until June and need to get to Boeing so I will start to think about it.

The homemade 4-gang outlet strip is my favorite thing in that setup

I go there to see if I have PM on the deck and of course see titles in the top that I had to click on.

The rarity occurs. Procrastination setting in perhaps.

In life it doesn't matter all that much...unless grad school is next.

I'd even go so far as to say I dislike most songs with a chorus.

Nice collection indeed, welcome to the site.

After coining LSQ I'd like to do another. I really hate the "hit hard" "hitting hard" "hits hard" phrases. Perhaps changing them to playing loud and its derivations would make me smile. Subs don't hit, they play music. The music might thump, bump, wang, thwap, and so on but it doesn't hit.
