nothing exciting, thinking about what I need to do today you? Trying to decide if I should just build a quick temporary box for the rli tonight. Sort of lazy, but no bass in the car makes me unhappys.

Its a square hole that you need, nothing special 7" x 2" iirc. You could easily build a console out of mdf, fit a front plate in your glovebox, or hack a small hole in the dash. Perhaps a small box connected under the dash would be okay as well (I don't remember what the dash layout looks like in those). There may be other good ideas too. Post some pics of your dash and more people will chime in.

Definitely sounds like a box problem. I'd be neither of those choices are very good for the drivers you have. You can't just put a sub in any box and expect to sound like anything other than crap. The box needs to be made for the specific driver, of course if you had a specific box you could pick a driver as well.

If you are running a single driver, I'd get the dual 4's to run your amp at its optimal. The real question on the size of the box is how large can you make it? Since you can't do 10 do you have 9 or what exactly?

Going to have to be a big center console to fit that 8 ported. .65cuft with a 20sq in port turns into greater than 2cuft really fast. Is the seat actually high enough that you can fit the Rlp15 under it?? If so, go for it!! I don't think you'll need the 8 at all if you do the 15 though.

3 words for all 3 of those: Waste of money. If you want a BMW, get a 6 series. If you want a Porsche, get a Cayman S. If you want a VW get anything but the Touareg. 3 vehicles that should have never been made. If you must have a European SUV (and I don't know why you would) get a Range Rover or a UNIMOG. A better description of a waste of money would be to buy anything new. The initial depreciation hit on any car is by far the biggest waste of money you can have when buying a vehicle. Of course since the OP is looking for a 2000 it knocks those choices out of the list anyways.

Matt and Ramos both had problems with theirs that were fixed I believe. Mine has been completely quiet. I highly recommend a fresh ground, but love the unit. The biggest downfall is the stupid pioneer menu system. I still occasionally need the manual to look something up, the Eclipses on the other hand are super intuitive.

I'd like mine in my headunit or headunit controllable. This leaves older Alpine headunits with Bass Engine Pro, lots of different Eclipse h/u's, the Ural, Panasonic 9255, Sony C90 and the off board procs: H701, P9, PPI DCX 730, Rockford 3Sixty Personally I wouldn't use anything else. (except if I had a brain fart and left it off the list)

Very true and a great amp, but I would still prefer to have my controls up front whether it be a h/u or offboard proc.
