IMO you don't want to run those speakers, you should never add tweeters arbitrarily to a set of speakers, and your question is strange. If you have a 4ohm speaker and wire it to an amp it will be a 4ohm load.
-
That amp doesn't match that sub well. You should have ordered a D2 sub.

I thought you needed some astro glide to prevent the soreness.

don't you live with Jim???

I should be home for at least part of the week. I may actually have to fly to NC for a day to do some work with Hendrickson Motorsports.

I gave DSOTM away.

Anyone know where I can get a dipstick for a 2002 3.0L V6 Audi A6? My w is having the oil changed and the puckers broke it???? It snapped in the middle I guess.

cage and mounting kit for the Eclipse just came. Maybe I can finally "finish" my temp install!

I had some paper coned fosgates in my boat for nearly 10 years. They were treated, but paper nonetheless. The real question is how long do the batteries have to last playing while you are sitting still. This will define what you can and cannot get out of your system.

The Wall and Dark Side are pop, not anywhere near the peak. And yes, I've heard AHM sober Eff'd to.

Oh lord is our new order entry person a bit lost. She just sent me an RFQ and asked me to fill out the order entry worksheet. All over the order it states "This is not an order"

I am not sure that a single 15 will be enough in a boat to really get down low and boogie. I also assume that the z302 is a single screw with no genset? If so, you are quickly going to run into a voltage problem supporting a system that really wangs on the low end. Efficiency is your friend on the water. What sort of music typically gets played? Is this going to be for when the boat is running or mostly for when it is parked? A budget would be helpful as well. It takes way more money to get a boat to thump than a car.

Listen to WYWH or Meddle and then listen to Momentary Lapse of Reason... Piper's an amazing album, but it's like early Moody Blues - it has to grow on you, and since it's such a period piece you can't seperate it from the time it was recorded. Exactly. Even though I would say that in 75 with WYWH they were already way down hill. Ummagumma FTW.

see ya Chris, have fun at work.

Name a band that hasn't gone downhill overtime. The better the band the faster the downhill IMO. Pretty much the first few years are almost always better to me. After that bands tend to get more mainstream and no longer as passionate about their recordings or more importantly how they play live. I can hardly think of an example of otherwise. IMO Metallica was done more than 10 years ago. Pink Floyd instantly popped into my head. That band has never gone downhill.....They could easily sell out a stadium if they asked 500 dollars for nosebleed tickets. Now they didn't start out to well with that stuff like Metal, piper at the gates of dawn, ya know stuff like that but once Dark side of the moon hit from there on afterwards they were amazing. Tool and Coldplay could also be considered amazing groups that haven't gone down hill, YET...I mean they could easily b/c tool has only been around for 15 years were as coldplay has only been out for 6 or 7 years mainstream wise. That's probably one of the reasons I Love Pink Floyd, tool, and coldplay so much they are very musically talented and show no signs of disappointing there fans. I write all this as Battery is going on in the background :rockwoot: I disagree. Pink Floyd is a great example. Their first few albums were great and their new ones suck. Just because they sell out a concert means jack crap. Tool I also think was much more talented originally than they are now. I saw them live 5 or 6 times, but the last time it just wasn't anywhere near the musician show that the original ones were. There was more flash but less meat. The last time I saw them was in 1995 or 1996. I have never heard of Coldplay... Again, I am not speaking of disappointing fans but becoming crap musicians overtime. Jam bands turning into top 40 makes me friggin' puke. The only genre that you can disagree with my statement on would be jazz. Conveniently it isn't mainstream and the musicians don't typically get ruined by money since they never really get paid. To all others it holds.

I think we need to take two steps back. 1) Some info would be really helpful: What kind of boat is it? What engines/alternator/battery configuration does it have? 2) You misunderstand my low-lows comment completely. Most pro-audio drivers do roll off, but we are talking about below 60hz. If you tuned a ported box that high it will roll off harder than the roll off I am talking about. Either way you can't tune to 60hz, it really won't sound very good. Realistically IMO 60hz should be played by midbasses and not subs, if at all possible I take my mids even lower than that.
