In your case you aren't doubling power so theoretically you won't get even 3db so everyone else is definitely right that you really won't notice the difference hardly at all. I use hardly because it will be noticeable on a meter. If you have extra budget and want to do something spend it on your front stage. I would pretty much guarantee what you have won't keep up with your sub anyways.

yeah, his 225 is spread out over a very tall frame. my 235 is on a slightly more compact version, even at 6'2". lol, cheater. thanks aaron. i'm sure some will find fault with it, but that's ok. numbers don't lie and my opinion is just that, my opinion. it was fun to do, both are good subs and i really enjoyed it. i wish that was my job, lol. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee I have an average height frame. That is an audio solution, not problem.

If you just bolt the speakers into the stock locations it isn't really worth doing. You need to mount them on a baffle, deaden the piss out of the surrounding area, and seal them off from the cabin. To really get your kicks to sing you need to vent them to the outside as well. That portion of things is definitely more spendy than the speakers but makes a way bigger difference as well.
