I usually brace and double baffle. Not like it takes that much more space.

Jealous I am. Baitcasting or fly? Guys standing on the beach were laughing at me when I showed up. They all had a myriad of humongous arse surf casting rods. All live bait probably cast 50 foot off the sand. Then here comes my country bumpkin ass 7 foot medium spinning rod with 10lb test. Zinging red head jigs, with a white super fluke out in the INCOMING current. I was freaking tearing them up. Laughter and snickering stopped quick I actually meant for the tarpons...but I too enjoy the soft jerkbaits in both salt & fresh. How light of a jig? Went fly fishing for tarpon for the first time in my life . Damn , they put up a ass load more of a fight than the trout I'm use to catching with the fly rod Caught 3 , biggest being about 41" long. Jig's I use for snook are 3/4 oz. Current in the bay I fish is really swift Nice work. I am now VERY jealous

Square inches can't equal cubic feet, but in square feet it would be (80/12)/12 = .56sqft

The pure midrange of the E might be a bit better, but it will only play to 1.2k without a notch. The NX will have much better midbass. The XG has a nice midrange but not as nice IMO as either Seas and will lack in midbass compared to both as well. I wouldn't hesitate at all to buy the NX.

Nice. The whole half the box can be real helpful when going old skool.

I went and chased Brown's yesterday and learned a valuable lesson. 100deg heat, beating sun, and a storm front = no big bites. I saw at least 200 fish, but couldn't get anything over 8" to take a fly. Started out throwing dries and no surface activity (duh), went to sub surface and could hit fish in the face with my whole gamut of flies and nothing would bite. Occasionally a little flash would cause the small ones to run out and grab it. Still a lot of fun to be in a sub 50deg river when its that hot out, especially when my waders are actually just a pair of keen sandals. Good luck with the Tarpon mang!

You shouldn't have any problems with that. Keep your ears and nose open and everything will be fine. Enjoy your setup!
