well, I decided to go with the RL-i. Should be here next week, now its time to start building the new box. Mike was great, responded to my questions very promptly. I now can see why everyone raves about SS customer service Enjoy! If you need enclosure help or have other questions holler away.

Better SQ my ass, sure there will be a sonic difference but using the term SQ in that regard is a joke. Personally L/R eq is more than enough of a reason to lean on the 880. I do find it funny that he likes the interface on the 880, IMO it is the most convoluted backwards interface of any deck I have ever used (for the settings) the older Eclipses are WAY easier to navigate. I have no experience with the 7100 though so it could be overly complicated as well. With my Eclipse I have never really looked at a manual and to really find things in the 880 I had to pull it out a few times. The 880 uses a tree'd menu structure that requires you remember where things are. Not worth being scared over as it is really easy with a little time but frustrating the first few days which of course are when most of the tuning happens. Conveniently you can ask me though and shorten your curve. Buy one, if you don't like it I'll trade you the 8454 and work something out with you.

It's a secret. If you tell it might make me want the Haflers.

boarding, see you all later.

Come to the dark side my child definitely looks like i will be, i'll probably just make a rig so i can plug in the controller to setup the h701 and then just unplug it and use the 7996 to change presets. that way i don't have to worry about the other din slot. Even though i have tons of room in the dash to open it up to 2din Make sure that the 7996 will even change the presets...if you are going by my info I am not sure that model does, just some of the in dash ones do.

If it does I am nuts, it might just be on the sub/mid and not the top but I don't thinka so.
-
not on the 8454 iirc

one way to find out works

Plane boards in 15, perhaps it is time to leave starbucks and make the walk. curious if my pc will work at the gate?

One other beef I have with the Eclipse you don't have with the 880, over/underlap isn't possible. Who really wants their crossovers at the same frequencies??? Just plain stupid.
-
Matt you are right on there. Even in my 2 way, I have to sell my 8454 because only crossing at 63hz makes my sub way to localizable for my tastes. I do wish I could pull a Ramos and run it only to 40hz but the shallow slope and 40 sounds worse than 50 with a slightly steeper slope. In the car the 63hz sucks
-
Not the same points but close. If you are really just running a 2 way + sub it will be fine, if you have unique 3 way + sub requirements you may not like all the cross points depending on what is on your amps for the toher ones.

They were shipped via hand delivery direct from a Madisound employee

I know my pair was under 250 but I didn't pay tax or shipping
-
wasn't clearance, but special deal direct from the manufacture to battle on the new Seas stuff. It was basically half off, I don't remember but can find my receipt when I get home. My mem says either 108 or 120

makes your penis smaller so it won't get in the way of your swing.

I haven't had anytime to dink with it either. Pretty hard to get it to do anything.

Raises hand you're running just one sub though 1 of my mids cost more than 1 of my subs Considering we have almost the same mid and sub it is logical that holds true for me as well. <-- doesn't know what mids you're running It's hard to read my sig lol. W18E's not the NX's but I bought them before I heard the NX's. The ones in the car actually were in Npdang's door treatment thread literally as I bought his.
