THank you Scott!!! Damian is pretty active on FSC as well. Not a bad guy to get the drivers in his hands, makes nice looking door pods for FSC even though I'd personally never mount any drivers on a door skin when you could bolt them direct to the door.

How big is your amp? Ever thought about scrapping the rears altogether and custom mounting a set of components in the front? It would definitely sound a lot better.
-
Does Arthur have big ears?

What kind of car? Are you running these active? What sort of processing? 2002 Toyota 4Runner. Active off a SAX-100.4. No other processing except the HU EQ (Pioneer DEH-P5900iB). I'd keep the tweeter as close as possible to the mid then and I'd avoid going three way.

Are you opposed to putting in a 6.5" component set instead? Also, have you upgraded the fronts? Are you running an amplifier?

You take the CT that comes with it and clamp it around the wire that you want to measure the current on.

Glad you are alright. Good reference thread the next time some fool just places his sub box on his back seat.

The CA's midbass should smoke those JBL's, by a significant margin. If they don't it is definitely install related. As for your question, I think you are going about this a bit backwards. The JBL's will not make a nice midrange/tweet combo for a 3 way system, if you can't fit the CA18RLY in your doors there is no real midbass that you will be able to, and Qlogics aren't really much of a solution (to me they are more work to fix than building a custom set). I think you will be surprised by the CA18rly if you actually spend the time to mount it. It is a really nice driver. I wouldn't hesitate for a minute to run it in a 2 way.

I got a response to my request for components. BM Audio Labs, but I haven't ever heard of them? Anyone else?

Good news Jordan! Congrats James!

That will teach you to not drink girlie drinks

We used to have a Cairn Terrier that would bring back an animal nearly ever time you let her out. Tenacious as hell for a little 22lb rat. Would take it straight to Labs as well. Anything that came in our yard got whumped, other than people whom she would just run up to and roll over beggging for a tummy rub.

he likes using threaded rod for bracing

They actually tried to chew through the plastic gas tank as well.

yes little furry rat bastards. They run on my roof, they fucked up my boat, and now I am going to borrow my buddies air rifle and go to town on them.

I agree with Ryan. If they won't own up, eff 'em and buy something else. -
Too hot, I give up. I feel lazy though. Partially I am frustrated as they ate my trim controls and depth finder leads. LIttle fuckers. Going to have to meet their maker soon.

Back off to sweaty, sweaty time

Nice work!!

My shirt is fucking drenched. I finally told the realtor to bite me as my boat was coming out of storage, this "spring" was tough on it though. I had to fix: 1) Cracked outdrive -- tree branch fell on it at the inlaws, luckily I got my bro-in-law to weld it 2) Sand down welds, prime and paint outdrive 3) Rewire the rod locker lights as the squirrels decided to eat the wires. I wired them to the switch on the dash this time with the other internal lights instead of on their own switch. 4) Fix rod locker wall which fell over 5) Paint the faded plastic trim pieces from all over the boat. All of the black plastic had faded...not anymore 6) Rewire the depth finders -- effin squirrels 7) Clean all of the acorns out of it 8) Wash & Wax That shit took me 4 hours in the hot, humid weather and I am sweaty as shit. Still have to: 1) Fix the trim/tilt control on the throttle as it no longer works (aargh) the other two work though 2) Remove livewell pumps and order new ones as these are burnt up 3) Fix the bilge pump 4) Wash the inner hull 5) Buff & Wax 6) Vacuum 7) Adjust trolling motor 8) New spark plugs, all 12 of them 9) De-corrode the depth finder and trolling motor plugs Still too hot to go back outside though

I didn't know you were going to come here. What stopped you?
