at every different height a different aiming is necessary. Reflections on a car are a bitch.

I wouldn't use the 2nd one of those for a tweet. Only thing you could put in there would be a second set of Evils, just make sure to cross them over to only way lower midbass where the single one could use some extra reinforcement. Tweeter you could put above the front mid or the pillar. For you I'd assume you would like it more on the pillar, but am letting the wall portion of the thread influence my decision.

Google said they were both 05 Sable's, but I didn't double check the pictures after finding them.

Definitely pros and cons for both. Have to balance aiming, frequency response, time delay and reflections. Obviously related a ton to the vehicle. My 02 Silverado dash was a hot mess for mounting anything up high, my Escalade great. Generally between the two cars I run the same mid, but completely different tweeters (both trucks have had multiple mids). The D2904 which I love (in my Escalade atm) does not sound right in the doors of the Silverado. So what would I do if I were you? I'd look at my car. If this is your car, I'd want the tweeters about where the picture is cut off if putting them on the pillars. As for the doors, close to the mid wouldn't suck Obviously your doors might be different with the dual 6.5 spaces...

Remember everything you have ever "heard" is from someone with some driver in some vehicle. Your situation is not the same. sq in per cuft is not a way to determine port size. I realize you are trying to move air, but again you used the word musical in your needed description. If you care at all about the latter don't go but rules of thumb or the grapevine. -
GM is going to be nice to me on pricing though too. Leases cheaper than a 550I msport
-
If I am spending $80k though it will be the cts-v.

Stupid sales bitch wanted me to drive the tdi first. Thought I would like that instead. BORING
-
The plain A8 is regrettably boring.
-
Not sure I would, it will piss you off.
-
2 mids is a waste unless you run in 2.5 way but you will need more processing for that
-
The panny turbo s is hands down what I would drive daily if I could. I love the s8 though.

This: versus Reason being there are nearly no small format tweeters that can dig and play nice off axis (hint Aaron ). Opening up the search to large format if they fit is worthwhile. Your doors are HUGELY off axis so you need something with a nice response in that regard. In small format, the standard was the LPG 25nfa (now replaced) but it didn't do jack below 4kHz. The Evil mids will play nice and high, but having a tweeter that can play lower really maximizes what you can do setup wise with the processing to optimize the sound.

Large format fit?

The s5 is a joke the s8 gorgeous

4th order BP are mostly pointless. If the situation is such that the box is remote from the cabin (not in a suburban) that is potentially different, but then the choice is super narrow peaky 4th or a much broader 6th. Being narrow in its passband it can have the benefit IF you choose the peak frequency to line up perfectly with the cabin that you have some gain, but the likely hood of that on box one is nearly zero. Since you have a big cabin you only have 2 choices. Standard 4th order ported or a 6th order BP. The 4th order BP is a waste of wood. -
Where do the tweeters go and what processing are you planning?

You state musical response in your first post. If you meant it, then just do a normal ported box. A 6th order remodeled could also do that, but you are focusing too much on the peak and not on the overall response. That will help on the hair trick side, but not on the musical. Everything is a trade-off. The one I would avoid though is the 4th order BP. It is recommended by everyone else as they don't seem to mind one note fart cannon's and it is a cool trend. That trend happened in the late 80's too and rode off into the sunset for non-remote firing applications. It should stay there. -
Your terminology is funny. I added a little punch to that wave. ie, I cranked the gain to kingdom come. Funny you have such a boner against quality made budget amps due to distortion, but are willing to redline other peoples systems. I guess by funny I really mean sad.

For ht I would time between 10-15Hz depending on how it models. And Yes a big enclosure. Can't say exact as I haven't modeled a dcon for that atmosphere
