Yep, one night it was really hot in the woodshop so I decide to take my shirt off... Needless to say that was not a smart idea, I was just covered in sawdust in nothing flat. You should try that in the sun

Try taking your shirt off once. Two things I try not to wear in the summer: shirt & shoes Of course that means I can only frequent restaurants that are on the lake, but that is okay with me. You only frequent restaurants on the lake, and I've never been on the lake... I really do need to get a tan, the only part of me thats tan is my arms and face/neck. Never been on any lake????

No issues with the JL 1000 on my Rlp. I can't say that I am a bass heavy listener, but mine hasn't even ever audibly complained and most definitely has never smelled. More output than I need by far. My gain knob is set to be able to deliver 1000w when I want. My system has a very strong SQ focus.

Great amps, but I think most people haven't just swapped their amps. I know when I go to change my system around it all tends to get ripped out and there are a lot of those types on the board. I may know someone interested in your Arc's if you do sell them. Let me know and I can check. -
Go for the headroom. Why not?

Buy a book, it is all mathematical formulas on your odds. The only problem is that noobs throw the odds out by not playing right.

Do you have dust collection? Curious as I really, really want some. yep yep , Dad had a complete delta setup in the garage. Table saw, radial arm saw, band saw, compound miter saw, router table, drill press. all hooked up to a central vac system. It's the chit . I had a cheap setup in my garage consisting of the vacuum you can buy from harbor freight and dryer hose. It worked well Yet again I am jealous. Would love to have that setup. I will have to look into the harbor freight solution when I move.

Lol, older pleasure boaters. Here we kick the non kini's to the other side of the lake.

headunit help
///M5 replied to joe dirte's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Indeed I assumed you meant 3 way front stage + sub. Even if that is the case, there is another possibility but it requires being crafty in both your driver, amp, and headunit selection. That would be to pick two drivers that will be placed physically right next to each other and use the crossover in the headunit for one portion and your amps crossovers for the rest. The real disadvantage is a ton of flexibility here, but it can be done. -
Remind me in a month or so after I move and I will gladly measure one for you with our scanning laser vibrometer and show you the difference. I have been meaning to write up a flexing tech paper for the technical section, but until I have a garage back I can't whack out any enclosures. The difference is huge. If you think we are splitting hairs I encourage you to go onto a home audio website and look at one of their sub enclosures, huge baffles and TONS of bracing.
