    Welcome to the IHoP

Pantera? Going to need a crap ton of deadening for that, hehe. Decided I need a four seater for the future as well as something comfortable to drive a long ways. If I put that sort of money into a car I want to drive it a lot. It will make Matt unhappy but it will be a muscle car and doing a frame off will just be the start. Yes it too will require a lot of deadening. *I can't start the damn thing until my house sells. Sell damnit. **Should sell sooner since I dropped my shorts at took another $40k off the price a couple days ago *pukes*

Easily, I love that word in the context above.

What would be "louder" or do better

Depends on the application and installation, but if SPL were the only goal I would surely put my money on the ported enclosure in this comparison.

Wait until my car project starts. Then you will see overboard.

    Welcome to the IHoP

Can you remember me doing anything in my life that isn't so? Captain overboard could surely be my nick name. I go even further in other aspects of my life than I do in the audio realm.

    Welcome to the IHoP

Funny to me since I have a different name at Diyma. When I joined I thought I would ask a question or two and be gone. It wouldn't accept the slashes so in an attempt to do something quickly I used the name of the company I was working for. Funny too since it took a few months for people to ask me why. B&K only makes by far the best microphones in the world and on a site that has such a measurement focus I thought that would be the first quesiton people asked.

If I were you, I'd deaden the speaker location and fix that first. The rest of the vehicle well that would be as needed considering your situation.

    Welcome to the IHoP

Actually bought my W18E direct from NP before even joining here. Yep, the ones in my kicks are in his "effective door treatment" thread literally.

Doesn't matter that site has pretty much gone to shit. Was the first forum I ever joined and used to really like it there; however, I don't have any patience for the crap that happens. I predict that within in year or so other than a core of good members it will really suck. Too bad too since there are some really bright people on there.

You shouldn't ask Scott or I that question Aaron. Most people would probably say yes.

    Running 4 1500D's

Since we are on the topic, I am curious. Is a resistance pot or is there a live signal traveling on the wire? Just curiosity on my part since I get questions regarding them all the time but personally of course I don't have a need for one.

Morning Ramos! Going to go out on the womans Nitro this weekend?
  19. Also Raamat is more effective per dollar than Peel N Seal.
  20. You won't gain anything from rears and will lose a bunch. Take your budget and apply it to the fronts instead. No reason to buy a Profile in my book either. For the same money a used amplifier will do you better in the long run. They are budget amps and cut corners in a lot of places.

    what size sub is optimal

I won't be as nice. The Type R sounds like arse. The options you are looking at are on a completely different level and WAY, WAY better.
  22. Most definitely...and keep them there. Every time you change the slope you are also changing the phase. Considering the power of the offboard processor you won't need and shouldn't use the ones on the amplifier. Sometimes less is more; however, there is really never any need to up slopes by stacking crossovers and typically everyone that does that has some other major install woe they are trying to cover up. In fact, I typically prefer the shallowest slope I can get away without causing anomalies in the response. For safety reasons I usually start with steeper slopes and turn them down.
