During my exploring Saturday night, I found a little Mexican place that you'd probably like. Sketchy looking place but was packed at 11:30 at night. It would be as long as the food was good.

I would doubt it, but it should say on the container.

For $250, I'd expect at least 3/4" mdf preferably 1" and a double baffle with bracing. This would include a fairly standard ported or sealed enclosure even though the sealed is obviously easier to make. I wouldn't expect to see any seams in the end at that price either. Tell them to eff the terminal cup and just give you a wire either coming out the port or the side of the box.

Greatly dependent on the area. The more port area the longer the port.

I didn't know your first name was Michael

Sounds shady, I'd get a real phone number and wouldn't do any transfer without a title. Next step is to ask to tell Kerry you are serious, but need a phone number and a VIN.

Truth. Although, I'll admit... I never mocked up my drivers at all... just temp mounted the rings, put them in the car, had a look & decided on the positioning... then made it permanent. But, I don't recommend anyone else do that... take your time. Took me probably close to/over 100 hours to complete all the work I did. You also have nearly equal PLD and drivers that are particularly nice off axis...yet another reason to not use a big midrange.

It is all going to depend on how much of this you can swallow. Not sure that there is a Memphis processor that can actually handle a 3 way appropriately and the processing is going to be the tough part here. Not that it is extremely difficult, but there just aren't all that many options to be able to handle a full 3 way set actively. If you are really throwing power at something you might want to look at the Rev's, it was a really good recommendation albeit expensive one. I did forget to leave out that the I heard the Rev's and Aura's side by side free air (damped with an acoustic towel) and I do know that the Scan's in particular really need an enclosure to come to life which is probably the only reason they didn't do what I wanted. I would expect a re-listen in an enclosure would change it but they would be run IB in my car so it wasn't a choice I was interested in. Plus the damn price tag. Personally the Kicker midbass doesn't do anything for me, but I can't say that I have heard one properly installed. This does bring up another point, your install is going to be very involved to get it to sound right at all. If you don't have a lot of experience I would guess you are going to need more than 80 hours just to get everything in and that doesn't include the weeks of driving around with drivers aimed at different locations to see how they sound.

Go for it. If you have troubles reaching the right people let me know and I will knock down some doors. Oh Kickass! Thanks Sean, I shall have to go looking around on their website for the people to find, I'll keep you posted as to how that goes. Just give me some warning, I am sure by accident I can find an engineer or two around there. When I call people usually want to talk to me, but of course not always. Of course as a business opportunity they are sort of next to nil so it isn't high on my target list.

///M5 replied to SilviaVsSupra's topic in SPL & SQ / Fabrication
Okay, let me rephrase that. What internal volume can you get out of your sub box. -
You getting a proto too? Mark is going to bring one by.

Dang I was about to say yes to, even though It would require that I buy something like the Behringer to replace it for in house use.
