I did some consulting work at Cambria (pressed quartz not unlike silestone) and was going to trade for doing my kitchen, but at $220 a square foot even trading would have taken a lot of hours to work off.

I was painting a sign a ways back now up on a ladder and it slid down with me riding it. I was only up about 25 feet, but if it would have slid sideways at all I would have had another 2 stories to fall. Ever since then I haven't been super keen on ladders.

aha, go for whatever will be best as a learning experience then; document the shit for us veneer noobs too!

I thought you were selling them?

I think I found the 710 on head fi originally, perhaps not but that sounds familiar. I haven't stopped in there for a couple years though.
-
glad it got there okay, I am always worried about that. I would have really hated for any BS to happen. For the price it is one hell of a Sound Card. My $200 M-audio doesn't sound any better than either of my 710's, perhaps someday when I have some real speakers it might but I am not so sure. Best budget buy by far in my book.

The Bose are placed far from the actual midrange driver which isn't good for lower crossover points in particular, as well as they are far from equal path lengths and generally low. There are a few compromises to deal with and the Bose system ignored them all. Here is what you want: -Equal path lengths -Close as possible to the mid -As high as possible You can see they failed on all accounts. It is one thing to compromise on or the other but to do it to all is bad. I think they chose their location based on aesthetics alone.

A shop cannot do it for you, it will require adjustments that could last months. Luckily they can be done with the headunit but if you don't want to tinker it won't be for you. The biggest benefit is independent driver selection, you can pick the tweet and mid/midbass that you want and run with it and not be limited to the compromises that manufacturers make for component sets.

4 10's would add cone area To get the output you have at 30Hz you would probably actually need a really large sealed box.

Liars, these machines are all crap. http://shopping.yahoo.com/articles/yshoppi...er-buyers-guide

I had the chainsaw out last week, but anything above 25' or so and I am not getting to them. If I were Ruprect the Monkey boy perhaps it would be different, but I can't say that heights and ladders are my friend.

The people looking at the house were concerned about a couple trees with some dead branches and have an Arborist running around my yard. I am sneaking around the house kneeling by windows to hear what they are saying. I hope they didn't spot me too many times

Cone area is your friend in an IB install, I would recommend not using 10's.
-
Gonna have to build your own if you want to go that route, the Qlogic's are pretty much crap in my book and by the time you put the effort in reinforcing them you might as well build your own.
-
Go for both at once. Sounds like fun!

Loud bass and IB aren't really something that go hand in hand intrinsically, but with enough cone area could. We would love pics of the charger. And of course, any other details on the car you want to share. Have you nailed down or contemplated driver locations? Considering it is such a cool car have you thought about taking it up a step and going active with your installation?

Damn 8945P on sale for 77 as well.

RS180 on sales for $26

That is what you get for reading on the carp site

In a bad way. What sort of muscle car? Where are you going to mount the drivers? Does the $600-700 include money for deadening? Are you doing the installation yourself? Also, your debating some extremely different alignments for the low end. Is there a reason that you are looking at nearly an output only to the opposite?
