Pick my external hard drive
///M5 replied to Aaron Clinton's topic in Computers / Electronics / Music / Games
Seagate all the way. After being in Hitachi, Western Digital, Maxtor, & Seagate the only one I am truly interested in is Seagate. -
Maybe we should weld you into the trunk
-
It fits so perfectly in your hand Ramos

i'd move out of this country if i had the chance i believe things will get better only in about 30 years, when all the generations that lived under comunism will be dead. too many people stuck on the "the country needs to give me this or that" mentality. and there's the laziness, lack of work ethic, the simple fact that most of the work force emigrated Don't assume that goes away with Capitalism. The more Socialist things are of course the more that happens, but there will always be the lazy ass people who want it all but don't want to work for any of it. I say eff them.

It is nicer than his other vehicles in a comfort sort of boring way as well.

Was his lease actually up on the others? Seems too fast, but I suppose he could have done the super short term lease.
-
Let's do it for safety, even though it isn't safer.

And countries that do many things backwards.

Ah, wth with how fast Dave changes cars it isn't like I will be there all that long.
-
I use my hand for that.

Okay, more than its worth then. Thanks for the quick estimate. They have it listed for $15k, if I could buy it for a song I might be interested but that is far from a song. I would guess the book on it to be around $28k so that hidden damage probably adds up to it or close anyway.

Comb drive background http://www.ansys.com/industries/mems/mems-what-is.asp They say its useful for moving a lever driving a pulley like an old steam engine...not that it has any application in the real world right now though. I have measured a bunch of them though.
-
Ever seen a comb drive? Little MEMS device that moves back and forth someone invented, too bad they haven't found a use for it yet.
-
They would probably make you "have" to wear them down to 2/32 before replacing...oh noes. $260/mo is robbery to say the least, my M has extra coverage and is still only $780 a year.

Ramos Any idea if this repair is possible and what sort of price it might be? http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/boa/430848972.html http://www.eastside-auto.com/ Probably more than I want to deal with, but thought you would be the one to ask.

I have worked on measuring a few as well, but with motion in the sub-nm range they might even be more useless than the one Aaron's working on.

RCA Questions
///M5 replied to Room_Nine's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Look here for a LOC; however, before you buy one please let us know what all of the rca's are for as there might be a much better solution. www.autosound2000.com/adaptor_products.htm -
AMp gain setting
///M5 replied to Mesto's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Do make sure your test tone is in between the values of your low pass and high pass filters. Preferably at least an octave (doubling or halving the frequency) -
Quick, instant what's the difference. Faster than the chain drives.
