if you ignore the whole reality thing, it's a great idea Marx was a bit optimistic. Not so sure on that. Read Mein Kampf once and realize that everything that he predicts AHEAD of time pretty much happens. I wouldn't call that optimistic. didn't Hitler write Mein Kampf? Of course. *dates himself I read it in 1990 and read the Communist Manifesto pretty much back to back with it. before your trip to the USSR (it was still the USSR then, right?) Yep before. Hell it was still Leningrad as the country was de-Stalinized yet. I was there when they switched the name.

Is it a New body style or old. Of course the latest ones are referred to as NNBS. Basically I was asking if your doors looked like mine: http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...ic=6582&hl=

I really have to point out that is a terrible budget to be looking at new cars. A mildly used one for the same price will get you WAY more car. Another problem with those low priced beasts is how much value you lose driving it off the lot. I would rethink your whole logic in buying new.

or the Ural and Clarion DRZ9255 if you want to do a 3way + sub
-
In "new" units the Pio 880prs, Alpine 9887, and the Eclipse 7000/7100 all do 2 way active + sub. Personally I'd take the 880 over the other two, again. I do have a predecessor to the Eclipse and have a buddy with a BEP Alpine. I also live in MN, but am pretty much never there...in Detroit (Novi) right now.

Have you ever heard a good full range setup? my guess is perhaps never even a reasonable one.
-
NBS or OBS?

Perhaps you should sell those as options here.

The starting point is pretty easy and better than the passive set you are getting. Hmmm... might do that off of a kicker 800.4 then. is 460 a good price for the z6's though? i might buy a few just to resell. what would my options as far as drivers/tweets/horns be then? can you guys get me started with that? i'm a total n00b. There are tons of options and they will depend on what size drivers, what mounting locations, music preferences, driver material preferences, tuning capability and so on. Lots of factors, but it will be really easy to outdo the Boston's. Personally I wouldn't pay more than $150 for a set of them.

You took the typing right out of my fingers.

Yep, cheaper to buy a new one...

I must say that I don't understand going to places where people congregate. People suck too much for that to make sense.

never been to facebook, never will

Not a whole lot, got an older Tahoe and looking at what to do for the sound system. You should come check out the audio shop in hays with me sometime. They do some bad ass installs. They also have arc, but at rapeme prices. I'm thinking about getting a few sets of Z's, think i locked in a good price, but want to make sure. Thinking 9887 will be playing source duty. Imo if you are at all competent it is silly to use components when you can go diy with that h/u Well i'm getting the Z6's for a decent price (i think), i can always choose to run them active down the line. The main reason for my going this route is the fact that i want a good starting point to judge my likes and dislikes off of. In addition, at the moment i dont have a whole lot of time to be tuning a setup. I figure the headunit will provide me with plenty of headroom in the future, and the comps will sound good ran passively... i can always switch things up in the future. I'm pretty sure i'll at least be able to get what paid for out of these. 460 for the bnib set. I could be very wrong though. Wow, for $460 you could have some really, really serious DIY drivers. That is a ton of cash to be throwing into a passive set.
